The Eatery on Rissik
Very disappointed. No Sushi - although on the menu. Pies were dry and overcooked. Main meal in brought whilst we are still eating starters. Waiters are not trained properly. Very limited lunch menu.

What a gem of a place. Excellent value for money. We had the chicken schnitzel,with salad and chips. Really delicious. Great portions. We could not even finish our meal. Had to take the rest home. Really friendly. And great great service. Alan. (Phoenix from ashes....)

After the Louis Changuoin Hiking Trail we were in desperate need of some good food!We stopped at The Eatery (dog-friendly) and weren't disappointed! Food and service was great, the deli there is also delightful - lots of people in and out buying baked goods and fresh bread. The biggest plus to all of this is that they have a lovely patch of grass under some trees which is exactly what our tired pooch needed after the trail. Will definitely stop by again next time we're in Haenertsburg.

We enjoyed our breakfast and went back twice for take away coffee, yum! We sat in the windowed area and thankfully no smokers so we could enjoy the view. Definitely worth a visit!

So disappointed with this place. After a lovely weekend with my friend we decided to have breakfast at this place yesterday. The service was terrible, the front desk lady at the till completely ignored me while she chatted away with a customer for over 15min while I stood there with goods I wanted to buy. I kept on walking around to give them time to finish up but ended up putting them down. She could have let me pay then continue chatting or ask me if I got assisted when she brought out our food which took over 45min. The toasted bread was drenched in oil and my friend’s scrabbled was watery.

Wow this was also a nice surprise when we enter the shop. People standing in a queue to get some of the fresh bakery stuff. Super fresh bread rolls, Apple Danish, Custard Danish, dog nuts and much more. All types of deli food and then you can sit and eats also. Everything nice and fresh.

Delicious healthy food. With exquisite freshly baked goodies everyday. Never miss an opportunity to try the redvalvet blueberry cheese cake.....love it
