Chapmans hardware is a very pleasant what looks like a family run store with plenty of parking and easy access.There is a wide range of items that meet most of my household needs with the staff been friendly and always helpful.The store seems to be stuck in time with check out and service at the help counter always been very slow but generally a very pleasant helpful experience.

I love hardware stores and this is one of the best. Vast array of goods. From glues and paints to gardening, plumbing, building and DIY. They also sell wood and have a good cutting service. Very often have the obscure item you can't find anywhere else. They deliver! ( in every sense of the word )

Asked David for details on a product before I took the trip to buy it, and he was ill tempered and unwilling to really help. Very unpleasant. Been shopping at Chapman's for many years AS A LAST RESORT. Tellers are abrupt and rude for no reason. Tip: Go into an online delivery business if you detest dealing with people.

Shop here for rude or indifferent service. I've shopped here for a few years and I've had a consistently negative experience especially with the till operators who are abrupt, scowling, disinteresteded and as with my experience today... Outright rude for no reason.
