Riverman Cabin

I cannot express enough what an amazing weekend we had at this beautiful space. Nothing we asked for was too much from the gracious hosts. You can tangibly feel the love in every single detail. I cannot wait to go back to this magical wonderland. Truly, this is where faeries and gnomes live, absolutely beautiful!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Nice food friendly staff

The road getting there is really terrible, but we made it with our VW polo...slow and steady. This is not however the fault of Riverman Cabins.Beautiful setting and surroundings. We only visited the restaurant which is spacious with a lovely deck outside to sit and have lunch/dinner.The food is very well priced (cheap) but quite average... Nothing great but tasty enough.Probably the best place to eat in Tonteldoos.

Very tranquil, nature in a calm state. However, getting there certainty requires a vehicle with good ground clearance and AWD if weather is bad.

If you want to take breather really away from the city this is place to be. Cute quint cottages. It does get really cold so you’d have to ask for extra blankets as the one they provide doesn’t keep too warm when the fire goes out However, the things to do aren’t fully there such as the trail for hiking. Was pretty disappointed in that.I wish more outdoor activities could be done such as horse riding or quad biking. All these activities are about a 30 min drive away. Please note that if your car isn’t a 4x4 or anything off-road, you Will have a terrible driving experience getting to the venue. If it rains, you’re probably be have trouble on those roads. Everything else was nice.

Nice place, ideal for a large group of people. The hot water doesn't last very long, though - after about two showers the rest have to wait an hour. Lots of cozy blankets and the kitchen is well equipped. Would suggest including a couple more frying pans - the stove is also pretty small and weak considering it has to feed quite a lot of people. We had a great time. Would also be cool if the dam was fuller and well stocked.

One of the last true break-aways, very remote, breathtaking scenic splendour. Well-equipped bungalows, lovely bar and restaurant with driving range and magnificent hosts. If you want to get away from the rat-race, this is the place to unwind.

Very neat and affordable, with beautiful views and many animals. Linda was an excellent host. The restaurant was very affordable and served us fresh food. The 30km gravel road is generally good, but we were glad for more ground clearance on our car at times.

Ok so let's not talk about the road... 40km at 40km/h is not my idea of fun, but then we arrived at this little gem. The sign says arrive as customers and leave as friends or something like that. The people are super nice and there is a golf driving range... what? Definitely worth a day trip!
