Simon's Town Magistrates Office

I have been dealing with the Simons Town Court for a couple of years already and I have never had bad service. I guess it also depends on your attitude towards them and you need to be patient. They are only doing their job and trying to keep many people happy and satisfied, with no emotional attachment to the cases that they are having to deal with on a daily basis. This is a service which is offered to us and we should be more respectful towards the staff.So if you are going there to get royal treatment, feel more superior to others (who are also suffering from some sort of trauma and circumstances in their lives), feel like you have the right to jump the queue and be seen as a priority over others then you are looking for it in the wrong place. I am sure you will find a spa down the road if you are seeking creature comforts.

Magistrate only available on Tuesdays. People seem very reluctant to help here.

The absolute worst at getting back to you for anything! Maintenance issues running on three weeks now, and still no one has bothered to answer any queries by returning calls.

Coming to court for maintenance is a nightmare cause no one seems to know if the appropriate people will be in work or even if the will pitch up. No one seem to give you a straight answer & you sit and wait but not even anyone ask you if they can assist you.

Not a place to visit but at times one needs to go there and they are very good at sorting out where one needs to be

Shocking! This court only listens to the mothers side of the Story! The mother of my child (which he does turn out to be mine) Has undermined me in every spiteful way, Even telling a magistrate that I am a drug addict and alcoholic ect ,But still demands maintenance (All on her terms) because in SA I am ONLY the farther of the child. And I have not got any chance of access to this child, because the this country,s out dated laws are only in favour of the mother! Even in the Victorian era farthers had more access to there children! OH i can just hear it! You have got access rights,Only problem is they not implemented ! PS this is the same court who Dismissed a assault case I layed after being being assaulted in Glencairn by a Irishman on a visa ,the Simonstown police lying saying if layed charges I would be arrested (which I managed to) Were is the justice in that? That incident affected my earnings !No mention of that when they now issue a warrant for my arrest for not turning up for court ! Which I did but Simonstown court had not paid the DNA lab so results couldn't be released on that date! Returned back to Europe only to find out I am wanted criminal worse than the president of SA! I am putting money aside for maintenance but still waiting for lots of answers!

The woman I just spoke to on the phone was extremely rude. No help at all. Super disrespectful. Screamed at me continuously.

I am extremely grateful for the service I received from Moemina. The staff truly care about our children and ensuring that justice is served. I am also grateful to the security staff for the warm welcome, ensuring that we are sanitised and taking our temperature in a prompt and friendly manner.
