Goedgedacht Farm

Such a wonderful retreat space but a bit of room for improvement on vegan menus but wonderful helpful staff and a great venue. A warm welcoming space. I keep on returning.

Our stay was very enjoyable. Lots to see and do on the farm. Accommodation was neat, clean and well maintained. Will definitely visit them again.

Absolutely awe-inspiring against the slopes of Kasteelberg. The routes are very well maintained and marked. Great cool down swim in the dam afterwards. Will be back for more

Goedgedacht, awesome panoramic nature environmental sight seeing views, self catering chalets, high on the slopes, you can throw a fishline into the dam & hope for the catch of the day...The wedding chapel, very much in impressive, scenery highly recommended for photography. We attended a birthday celebration, the venue we found superb, with the smell of a sumptuous spit braai.The school for rural scholars, caught my eye, a foundation established by Goedegedacht, reaching out the hand of education.

Extraordinary views. Lovely hiking/ biking trails to be explored. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The cottages and facilities are very clean and sufficient. Will definately be back.

My wife and I got married, Goedgedacht. It has become one of the best decisions we’ve made in our life. The Goedgedacht team (lead by Jacques) was super fantastic at every step of the way. They gave us all the flexibility we needed to have the wedding of our dreams within a manageable price point.It was super important that we find a venue with a lot of on-premises accommodation to accommodate a big multiracial family from different parts of the country and the world. Goedgedacht’s high number of beds was a winning formula, especially when planning a weekend wedding of bonding through late-night braai’s. Swimming in the Dam and having breakfast at Tree House are experiences I will cherish forever.I learned a lot about myself through the process of getting married—the Goedgedacht team were excellent at managing our GroomZilla-BrideZilla episode. They’ve been doing weddings, which means that you have a team that can catch anything that may fall in the cracks of an inexperience bride and groom. The level of care, the attention to detail and the enormous amount of patience and empathy are what makes this place a worthwhile choice.I am writing this review three weeks after the big day. I am filled with so much love for the Goedgedacht team. I cannot express the appreciation that the whole family and friends feel for what you have given us.We had fun and adventure.Thank You!!! Went for an early morning hike. What a pleasant surprise!

I've been there twice. I have enjoyed myself both times. The stuff is amazing, particularly the kitchen stuff. Enjoyed all our home cooked meals. If you are looking for some peace, feel a need to get away from the concrete jungle...don't hesitate to visit this place. In summer make sure you bring along a mosquito repellent.

A very quiet place for retreat or academic workshops. Nice views of the mountains and for those who love walks, it's a spot to visit. The food is amazing fresh from their kitchen. Carry warm clothes though if its winter, the temperatures can really drop.
