The Lobster Pot
The food was extremely over cooked. And in the same sentence the steaks and sole were extremely under cooked. Could barely get the meat out of the overcooked prawns. Platter for 1 was enough to feed my 3 year old. Way Way over priced for the amount of food that you get. Luckily we had some liver paste on stale bread, else we would have probably had to go to Mcdonalds after we wasted 4k on the bill. 1st and last time. I would not recommend anything here, maybe after the manager spoke to her parents a bit. The Lobster is an absolute joke. More like fat prawns. Really disappointed.

Exquisite! Excellent! The service was amazing. The food was mouth watering delicious! We built our own combo with calamari, fish cakes, prawns, mussels and hake. Oh my word- everything melts like butter in your mouth. Definitely a fine dine experience. I would HIGHLY recommend!

The service is impeccable, the waitress checked in regularly but without coming too much. And the food! Oh my word. If you’re looking for delicious fresh seafood, I’d definitely recommend coming here. The hake was soft, the batter was perfect. The prawns were nice and big. The calamari was a little bland. But the portions were nice and big. Outdoor seating is lovely and airy. However the inside was a bit dark. I think the aim was for an old fashioned seafood restaurant which they definitely achieved but I feel that there could’ve been a different execution(however this is just my personal taste). Overall we had a wonderful time, so I would definitely recommend coming and trying out their seafood.

Super disappointed with the very over priced food! The chips were inedible, battled to get the overcooked prawn flesh out of the shells. Don’t even know what to call the “coleslaw” vegetables. The ribs were really bad, tasteless, only ate two. Overall tasteless food, such a waste of money, over priced. The portion of the calamari wasn’t even worth R50 (Paid R125) for the portion.

I wish the food was better because the service was great.Sea food platter - the 2 lobsters were ok, the prawns were over cooked and almost impossible to get out of the shell, grilled calamari had a strange after taste and we just left them uneaten.

The food is devine! I have been to many restaurants in the South Coast, and can easily say this is one of the best. I highly recommend a stop here!

First time ever at the Lobster Pot and unfortunately it was not a great experience. Family owned restaurant since 1967 and the decor and lighting has never changed. Calamari strips are 5mm thick cover in dough that is very thick. Way overpriced and not great food. Expected much better

What a wonderful resturant. So many of the places nearby offer the same kind of evening-out, pub and comfort food. The Lobster Pot however, is an upmarket cullenary experience. The staff is professional and friendly. The ambience is warm and welcoming. You get the sense that the establishment have been around for some time and their expiernce shows in the quality of service. Dinner was incredible, everyone at our table was in love with what they were presented and the taste did not disappoint. The menu is not too lengthy but with a considerate amount of variety. I highly recommend The Lobster Pot.
