Very nice self catering place to stay, very close to lovely restaurants and own pool

One of the best holiday destinations we have been to, scenery is perfect, host is helpful. This is a hidden gem for a holiday for sure going to come here again

One of the nicest places to stay in Swellendam. Rooms have Aircon. Everything you need is in the cottage./house. You have small pool to cool off. You are walking distance from the shops/awesome coffee shops and hiking trails. What a lovely place to stay. Worth every penny.

The pool really needed a clean - the steps, while dark, were growing algae and this isn't what I thought we booked as the pictures showed a larger, clearer pool. The main bedroom had an unfortunate cat wee smell that at least disappeared when the aircon was on. A comfortable living room. The kitchen could have been made more comfortable with an extra kitchen towel and more tea. The hand soap in the bathrooms had an unfortunate scent.

So we booked this place to go away for my husband's 40th birthday. We looked for a quiet place to just chill and relax with my 2 boys.We looked at reviews and settled on this place dues to excellent reviews, but boy were we set for disappointment.Check in was seamless but after that it was the worst.On arrival, we realised that there are 2 cottages on the same premises. The house next to us had well over 8 people there swooping at every point.No privacy from them at every point unless you at the pool.Outside lights don't work at night so you subject to either using candles outside or stay indoors.The noise was terrible and guests coming in and out like it was a supermarket. The loud music and total disrespect for other guests.They drove around up and down the road till 3am in the morning.I would only recommend this place to anyone if they can be guaranteed that their neighbours will be quiet.Total waste of hard earned saved money for us and a terrible experience overall.I understand that guests can't be vetted in advance but dude, this was in another level.On check out, we let the desk know of our experience, the lady said well there's nothing we can really do. We ask guest to be quiet but if they don't then well.. Maybe we won't allow them to book again"Nonchalant..Goodbye Swellendam!!!"

Love the place, perfect location, great service , but the beds are very hard.

Would recommend for a couple who wants to get away from it all.Neat and tidy and even the prince of darkness couldnt ruin things with loadshedding. They have aircon for those days where the temperature hits 36+

Absolutely loved it!!!! Can stay there for weeks. Everything and more that you need come summer or winter and absolutely beautifully decorated.

From start staff was very helpful with my booking and very hospitality the day we booked in,our cottages was clean ,neat fresh and delight full we appreciated our cottage having our own private pool, definitely recommend for you to book wth them we were very happy and satisfied wth our cottage.
