Does this company seek for varsity student as the vulnerable ones to exploit & make them work without pay? Where do u guys think this is? The 15th century where slavery was a normal thing? u will not get away with this i will be sure report you, name & shame you in all social media platforms. I'm a student from VC durban north, i worked for KWV in Dec 15 2017 as an assistant supervisor for the promotion of the hooch product and purple rocket still has not paid us till this day. I would like to bring this awareness to all students trying to make extra cash not to work for this company, they promise glorious payments, change the agreement once you've already started working for them **dodgy much** and on top of it all : in my situation i had to use my own vehicle, put fuel out of my own pocket to perform the tasks which they have hired me to do, i have not been compensated for that nor have i been paid for the hours I've worked, i was promised R100 per hour to work from 2pm till 12am at midnight and on my second day of working my partner called purple rocket to confirm a few thing only to find out that my working hours which I'll be paid for will be counted from 5pm till 11pm ( mind you we were still expected to work from the original said times ) and my hourly rate was actually now said to be R80. All that without any explanation as to why has there suddenly been changes. What saddens me the most is that i actually need this money to pay for the credit i made when i bought R500 fuel to drive around doing this job in hopes that I'll get paid and then settle my credit. Is this what the world has come to? I will not be a victim to be used by the rich and powerful for the own gain!
