The place is amazing. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is incredible. Love everything about this place

The guesthouse is charming, it's modern style with rustic touches throughout. The ground is beautiful, tons of space to be on your own and relax. The rooms are small, but comfortable and functional, I don't think you need more with such beautiful space to hang out outside. The lapa area has a great little bar, Apero Spritz was really good, I wish the beer selection was better (with such great craft beers in SA, it's sad to only have tasteless lager at sunset). The food at the restaurant is changing based on available food (I assume at the farm), with meat, fish and vegetarian options (maybe vegan, but I didn't ask specifically). Simple but excellent flavours, beautiful inside and outside restaurant area.Minus for me are check-in times (basically 3 to 5pm, which is late), no child policy (my toddler was charged at adult rate) and the shuttle arrangement is stressful and unecessary (I was told it's part of the experience, frankly it sucks and could have been done much better). Internet was slow and signal not great, shouldn't be a problem unless you're going there on workation.

Overall Farmhouse 58 is such a beautiful place. The rooms are lovey, staff including restaurant staff are super friendly and welcoming. A very relaxing place to be at for a quiet time away from the city.I was there for a week during the winter season, and my only complain is the food menu. For the whole week there were only two options for lunch and dinner, I complained on my 3rd day but nothing was done. Same vegetables everyday and only two options of meat. For dessert as well it was just ice cream and Malva pudding, which was very disappointing for me.I would love to visit the place again, my only concern is food. I would love to see variety & have options no matter which season of the year. As a guest I deserve to be catered to accordingly.

Stayed here last year for a night with a friend of mine and the staff could not have been more caring, unfortunately lekkeslaap had messed up our booking. Luckily the manager got involved and organised us a stunning room and lunch on the house. Food was also outstanding. Highly recommended :).

Dear Team at Farmhouse 58. I'd just like to extend my sincerest thanks to the entire team for making our stay during the Easter weekend such a memorable one. The attention to detail and the passion was inherent from the shuttle service to the reception to the cleaning service and walking guides and not to forget the absolutely scrumptious food. I especially also appreciated the regular refilling of the tea stations and rekindling of the fires during the cold and rainy weather. It's an absolutely gorgeous place with a unique and calming almost meditative atmosphere. Absolutely lovely for a relaxing getaway. THANK YOU!

1. Great place - clean and serene.2. Absolutely amazing staff throughout - great treatment from the driver who picked us up, to the receptionist and the cleaners. The kitchen staff are in a league of their own - absolute stars! Moses & Lucky are the best!3. The food was absolutely delicious! Loved the coconut yoghurt and home-made berries sauce.4. The walk to the waterfall and the hike were awesome.5. A SIX sleeper unit with ONE bathroom which had ONE bath and ONE toilet is not practical - need at least 2 bathrooms. A shower would be better than a bath.6. Urine stench in the toilet - we are all women and can’t miss the toilet when urinating because we sit down. So, cleaning of toilets needs to be better.7. Noise early morning and evenings from the upstairs area.8. Floors are a bit slippery, so maybe change the carpets that are in the rooms.9. Not kid friendly - not much to do for kids. Perfect for couples or friends.

Rooms were very standard for the price we paid considering we had a premium room. Staff in the restaurant and lobby were very friendly and helpful. Surely they could purchase a few candles so we didn't have to sit in the dark during load shedding at dinner?

Visiting the farmhouse is one of the memorable moments of comfort and freedom out the noisy urban machines the only noice you can hear are those spiritual suiting bird sounds

Chilled retreat in peaceful surroundings, the aesthetic is simple but quietly stylish. Food is healthy & well prepared. The property has lovely walks, great trees. & some wildlife. It’s over the road from Nirox and as a guest here you can be taken there, even on days when Nirox is closed to the public, which is a real treat.
