Amazing hidden gem in Kakamas. on my trip around the country this was the most beautiful place that also surprised me. Do yourself a favour and go stay here

Most amazing stay!!!!

What a genuinely special place, I only wish I could have stayed longer. I booked last minute (literally) and although the place is quite new, they handled it all perfectly. I really couldn’t find a single thing to fault. Quality fittings and appliances, an aircon that really really works and the most hospitable hosts. I had the best nights sleep. Highly recommended, will definitely stay again.

I am sure there are other nice places to stay in Kakamas, but I am also certain none of them are as wonderfully majestical as this place. This is a very well-run property with 3 beautifully appointed and situated guest cottages. The owners Frik & Andriette van Schalkwyk make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Frik is an avid outdoors man and full of wonderful tips for trips around Kakamas and further into the Northern Cape and beyond.The cottages themselves are equipped with everything one needs and more. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was very spacious with lovely rain shower head. Ideal to wash the dust out after a long trek. They have AC, although if you prefer you could just open the windows that have screens to get a natural airflow. There is seating outside and a braai with wood supplied free of charge (this is an exceptional touch that I have never had anywhere else. The vistas from the cottages are breath taking, vineyards, mountains and pecan trees. The view is especially pleasing at sunrise and sunset with your early morning coffee or sundowner. Ideal for a few days away, a base to visit the Augrabies National Park or as a break on the journey either to or from the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park / Namibia. Highly recommended. However, as this location is very popular, I do recommend you book well in advance to avoid disappointment

Fabulous architectural design, spotless interior in three wonderfully equipped cottages. The estate feels secure and safe. Extremely friendly owners.

Beautiful place could upsize on towels and bigger beds and comfortable pillows will be nice
