Brookwood Estate Trout Farm | Brookwood Estate is an idyllic retreat in the Cradle of Humankind, only one hour's drive from either Johannesburg or Pretoria. We have five well stocked dams and excellent Yellow Fish fishing in the Blaauwbank River.

Such a beautiful gem! Lying underneath the trees listening to the trees and the water is absolutely amazing! Plenty of seating areas with a braai. Clean bathrooms as well as a little shop which stocks fishing gear, braai goodies, snacks etc. The only suggestion I have is to perhaps give the play area some TLC.

Good escape from city living.4 beautiful dams and a river to fish in. Lovely and serene setting.Clean facilities.Chalets available for staying over.Not many fish caught on the day, but still a lovely day out.

Great picnic place, fishing area abit small but decent for the non trout. Overall good atmosphere for a day out and good picnic spots

Very pretty we maintained no much in the way of amenities for kids very nice picnic areas very hot on the day we came fishing was not good but i will go back when its cooler

A beautiful, tranquil piece of heaven not too far from home. We made use of a chalet for 2 nights. Absolutely loved the visit. The local vervet monkey troop being the highlight of our visit. Cant wait for our next visit.

Nice tranquil place to enjoy a day out with the family. Relative cheap and safe. We even heard the lions roar at our spot from the Rhino and Lion Park...what a bargain!!!

Lovely tranquil little place. Beautiful area. Dave and Ken were wonderful hosts. We caught 6 lovely healthy fish, biggest catch 6.25kg and the smallest 3.75kg.
