Not the most sensational place I've been to eat, nice big pub and your food is prepared in the kitchen irrespective of the portions for women, men or kids. Good boere kos and pudding. Great historical building with stunning drawn up wooden windows but don't go at night! The Diner becomes a thriving nightclub of huge proportions. Throbbing disco lights, loud music changes the previous nostalgic atmosphere once experienced hours earlier.

Very pleasant little B&B-warm greeting from Jed the owner-with all the basic amenities you would expect including charging space, heaters for those cold nights and mini fridge. Rooms were comfortable and clean. So far so good, gonna try the available restaurant and pub menu. Pricing is what you would consider average, but considering convenient location, it’s well worth it.

Some loadshedding courtesies available. Only setback is staying during busy weekends because of the bar

Lovely country inn with well priced pub menu. Serves delicious steaks and the fish and chips was a winner. Situated in main street of Machadodorp and frequented by all the locals. Great atmosphere. Make sure you take cash as no credit cards are accepted. Very well priced accommodation. Lovely coffee shop for those not pub orientated.

I loved the styling of the rooms and the homely feel of the place. Geoff is very friendly and passionate about his project of developing and enhancing the property and has somewhat of an eye for aesthetics. The bar on a Saturday night was pumping with locals and a DJ but, for me, this just added to the ambiance. The rooms were comfortable with DSTV, the beds were good and the showers were fabulous. Towels and soaps were provided. I loved the friendly staff and the styling of, what I am told, is the oldest building in the town. This is an oasis in what may otherwise be, currently, a nondescript little mining town although it does have a lot of significant history. I found it to be very comfortable, friendly and excellent value for money and would definitely stay there again.

Kerb appeal not great but as you step through the gate you are in a place full of history. Great hosts and Jed very knowledgeable about local history and does an exceptional local tour. Accommodation very cosy, food was excellent.

It's a beautiful bar with an old school vibe, very nicely decorated and so many things to talk about. Comfortable seating and friendly old inn keeper, it's a great place to have a few drinks with your mates. There are also a 3 slot machines

Lovely little place run by the most friendly family. It gets noisy over weekends, so not for the early to bed person, but rather join in the lovely atmosphere in the pub. Food is hearty.

Horrible stay. Slept over after my cousin's wedding in Belfast. A shebeen is also stationed on the premises. Loud music and drunk people till after 12am. Will definitely not recommend this place if you have to travel 400km the next day.
