Otters' Haunt Eco Retreat
So much more than expected and super affordable (yes, even in peak season) The flock of kids was herded by the friendly sheep dogs, and the owners were attentive and unobtrusive. The reservation system is painless, and the property a little gem with walkways, pool, river and under a few minutes from Parys, should you feel like joining a bit of Urban madness.

Otters' Haunt Eco Retreat
The venue is excellent. The Bush camp is great for families and friends. The river level was a little low which makes fishing a bit difficult but its due to lack of rain. Sharon is a great host and I wish you all the best in future. We enjoyed our stay there and will be back next year .

Wonderful place for a comfortable, rustic retreat. Owners are knowledgeable, conversant on a wealth of topics, and willing to share. Perfect place to enjoy a contemplative coffee (or beer) riverside, take a rafting trip, fly-fish, birdwatch, read under tree, or engage with friends and family around the fire... Great options just down the road if you want a meal out. Gem of a place with unique character and a range of nature -based recreation and relaxation options.

Lovely outdoor setting right on the Vaal river.If you like rustic, outdoor kitchen, loo and shower this is the place for you.Is in need of maintenance as the deck is treacherous (no bare feet)Not suites to family with young kids as second bedroom is separate.Unfortunately I feel it’s overpriced for what you get.

Relaxed and friendly place. Accommodation is rough around the edges but the setting is lovely. This is the place for you if natural surroundings float your boat more than posh decor. We had a very enjoyable 2 day stay.

This place is situated in a Heritage Site. It was gorgeous and relaxing. I went to visit my family that was staying there. There was a pool to swim in. There are dogs, but they are very friendly.

Otters' Haunt Eco Retreat
Went on the Dome information excursion presented by Prof Graeme Addison. This was a more than worthwhile excursion and the information received was educational, while being presented in an easy going manner by a very qualified expert. I can definitely recommend this to both local residents and visitors.
