Sometimes traveling you are lucky to find a special place on earth, but with Tribal Retreat we found a diamond! ! Words cannot descripe how much we like this unspoiled part of Africa !! The Beach walks with Amma !! It felt like being at the end of the World !! It's also a very spiritual place, with Louis and Margo's yoga !!! And Margo is a great Chef !! It was not easy to leave this place, but we will be back !! Thanks Margo and Louise for this great time and Amma, wish I was able to take you home with me !!!!

Thank You for Your hospitality, the amazing catering & for all that You did for Our group!From skinny dipping in the bay to bonfires on the beach... this is one of those places that will keep You coming back for years to come! This one is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!From the pleasant drive - the roads aren't the worst! To the awesome scenery of fauna & flora there is actually much to do with nature as Our playground! From floating in the Jujura river to bathing in the bay this is the place to go to rest Your soul & find Your spirit again! I came weary but left energized! The books on hand are also great to have. A laugh while having a chill!Margot thank You again & until we meet again stay well!Looking forward to my next trip!

This is a little slice of home in the middle of nowhere. Rustic and comfy. Margo is the most gracious host and if there is a better location for a guest house, I don’t know of it. Highly recommend.

What an amazing little piece of paradise in the transkei and absolutely spoilt for beautiful beaches. Margo was the most amazing host and the rooms rustic, beautiful and clean. Showers were amazing!

We came across Tribal Retreat out of desperation. But it ended up to be destiny.This humble place with its humble owners is a real gem in the Transkei. The two gorgeous rondawels is equipped with everything you need. The rooms are spacious and decorated to enhance the tribal feel.It is a short walk to the beach. Or a short drive to an amazing beach. You have a great view of the ocean everywhere. It is the perfect destination for a family or group that like to holiday in each others company without the hussle and bussle of the commercial beach go-ers.And for the evenings that you feel like taking a break from making dinner, Margot and Louis has an mazing gift of cooking, using their own veggie garden or what nature has supplied around them. ***** 5star for their food as well

My second stay here, absolute chilled paradise. Margot is the perfect host and her dinners are divine. Beautiful beaches to roam, comfy couches and a stunning lounge area. My happy place.

Breathtaking views of the ocean over rolling Transkei hills. We stayed for two days in July and are going back in December for a week! Very quiet and peaceful with excellent facilities. Margo is a great host and the food was fantastic. Highly recommended!
