CA Car Hire

I hired a vehicle for eight months, and my payment date is the 15th of every month, but in September the 15th fell on a Sunday, so I paid on the Monday. When I returned the vehicle, CA Car Hire deducted R1400 off my R3400 deposit because I was late on payment. Their offices are not opened on a Sunday, and if I had done a transfer on the Saturday, it would have only reflected in their bank account on the Monday. WATCH OUT THIS COMPANY IS NOT ETHICAL !! I TRUSTED THEM WITH MY DEPOSIT, WARNING EVERYONE OUT THERE, DEAL WITH A MORE ETHICAL COMPANY !!

Unbelievable how hard it is for them to keep a client happy, i rented a car for 3 monthes in the 3 mothes the cars broke down 3 times. Cost me missing 2 days of work. When i asked them to assit me in paying my deposti a day earlier they refused and sticked to their contract. I actually took the car back 9 days prior to when it was supposed to go back but they refused to accommodate me. The best thing is u must accommodate them when their cars break down on thw N1 but they cant do the same foe there clientsUlrich strydom

I rented a vehicle in March 2020. Still waiting on my deposit. Just excuses, excuses. Getting tired of waiting. We all went through Covid. And we have to survive. Really this is not on.

Do not make use of this car rental company. They hire out cars where the license disk has expired, you bring it to their attention and they blame it on covid. If that is the case they should not be hiring out cars with expired licenses. The license disks do not correspond with the Vin numbers either. You that is hiring the car, you get a fine because the license disk has expired. They are plain and simple crooks. They lie and always shift the blame to the customer. Well we have reported that matter and we are awaiting. The lie and crook people of their monies. Be careful and make sure you check everything before hiring through them. Deposits are also a problem.

I have rented a vehicle in the month of March and and returned on next day, but the hold the deposit as I must complete the contract duration and after that asked me wait for lockdown level 2. Regularly doing follow up but, always saying could not have the meeting with manager. I don’t understand why they need to have a meeting to rerun the deposit. Now the phone lines are not active. I don’t believe theses guys..

This is a horrible car rental place. They are basically make money by charging exorbitant penalties. I rented an old Chevrolet Spark. As soon as one takes a sharp turn the front wheel would brush against the body making a horrible noise. The car was really not roadworthy. Customer service is not good and very unfriendly. I would not recommend this car hire service at all.

What a wonderful experience with CA Car Hire. Excellent service from David and his friendly staff. Will definitely rent again from them.

The women that works there Unita is a real idiot. I complained that they were sending someone with hands and cloths full of grease to go and fill the vehicle up with fuel that I was taking. She turns around and says she's not giving me the car and kicked me out of the shop. Absolutely no work ethics, and sorry to say she looks like a miserable old Granny...

I am still waiting for my deposit after I have returned the vehicle in May 2020.Elize confirmed that the vehicle was returned clean and in the same condition as it was given to me in Feb 2020. I returned the car in May 2020, as it was not reliable vehicle for me to rent anymore. The vehicle had battery issues and Ronnie had to assist me twice during my rental period. I also had to get a private company to assist with the vehicle, as CA Car Hire could not assist me that day. This was for my account.Ca Car Hire had to wait until they could see if there were any fines outstanding in my lease period. As Covid delayed the services of the Traffic Dept, I completely understand this.I then contacted Elize again when RSA were changed to Level 2 of Covid. She then informed me that the owner would only have a look at the deposit payments on the next Wednesday.Today, when I contacted her again, she said that management did not have a meeting regarding deposits being paid. She has confirmed that management will have a meeting on next week Tuesday regarding the payment of deposits, as only management can make the payments.I want my deposit paid back to me, without any issues, as there seems to be allot of excuses regarding the payment.I will update this review once I have received my deposit.

Do not make use of this car rental service. They provide excellent service until the time comes to pay back your deposit. Its been almost a month since I handed the car back (early) and I have not received my deposit and they gave no reason for not paying back my deposit, refused to give me a contact number to follow up on and have since blocked me on WhatsApp.
