We didn't stay there but I wish we had. The rooms are excellent, the library full of interesting books. The garden is absolutely beautiful. The hero tree is a giant fig (I think) and is like something out of a Lord of the Rings movie. If we go back to Albertinia I will stay here.

Classic traditional style property, boasting a tranquil garden. The host is is the loveliest lady, and the staff were amazing, and so was the breakfast! Certainly the only place to stay when passing through Albertina!

Such a lovely host Marietjie. Friendly birds greet you and trees have stories to tell. This is the perfect place to unwind in Albertinia, it's a dedicated writer's retreat. Wonderful library to relax in, a delicious breakfast. Dinner can be a treat under the Lapa too. Definitely don't miss this gem if you're passing through Albertinia.

Gardens, rooms, food and host is an absolute 10/10, the ONLY place to stay if you're passing through.The love and appreciation for nature is incredible and the property is home to one of South Africa's Champion trees, an amazing wild fig tree also known as the whispering tree.Do not pass albertinia without visiting this exceptional place!

This place deserves a 5 star. The tranquility and scenery was amazing. They have a beautiful library rich with knowledge and history. did i mention that i enjoyed walking in their soft-bouncy grass. I took a walk and even forgot that i was i in Albertinia. As a Kirstenbosch lover, this place resembled Kirstenbosch Gardens. If you are a bird watcher and like to feed birds, this is the place to be. Their breakfast is served in a balcony that exposes you to a beautiful mountain view. If you love walking, you can do your 10000 steps inside this beautiful place. If you have birthday celebrations, small intimate wedding, team buildings, this is the venue. Did i mention that they also have an outdoor shaded braai area where you can have your late night chills. Also, they have an outdoor stage and audience chairs. Wow! this place is a hidden treasure in Albertinia. The owner is amazing. Her heart is pure. Her kindness, respect and humility is unexplainable.

Best price for value un Albertinia. The accommodation was the best. Rooms are great. Clean, neat, aircons, en-suite bathrooms are fabulous.Breakfast was perfect, served on a balcony with the most beautiful garden scenery. Tranquil and best way to start your day. The staff too makes the entire stay, warm and welcome. Will definitely stay here again.

The service is excellent and the breakfast, that is served on the balcony overlooking the beautiful garden, was fantastic. The scenery is lovely with mountains and maize fields on the horizon. The in-house library and writers workstations in the rooms offer an ideal venue for writers and persons who is in need of a tranquil retreat. Thank you Marietjie for your hospitality.
