Really awesome food, great price and super friendly staff makes it a favorite everytime we go down to the south coast

Worst experience I've had in the South Coast so far. We used the seating area outside as we had our kids playing outside. Around 6pm they've locked the door leading to the outside area - having us walk all the way around to the main entrance to get drinks from the bar - to which we were told by the bartender that we can't get new drinks as our old drink glasses were still outside. I've never been to a restaurant/bar where you have to take your own dishes back inside to order something new. The general cleaning crew and waiters seem to be outstandingly welcoming and nice, but are unfortunately employed by miserable owners who doesn't seem to be very hospitable for people who are in the hospitality business. I'm deeply disappointed in my experience here and we will never return to support this establishment again. There are much friendlier and better run establishments to visit around the south coast. Don't waste your money at Captains Anchor Pub & Restaurant!

Lovely relaxed spot. Great food. The Captains Reef Platter was delicious and my wife loved the Chicken Schnitzel. I like the fact I can order a quart of beer.You'll enjoy this place. Good value for money. Service was super friendly. Did not wait too long for the food. It was worth it.

We stopped here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised at such good service and excellent prices. My husband had the calamari and was very impressed with such a huge portion and good price.

Nice place for a few drinks. Have tried eating here over 5 years and still not my choice to eat at u fortunately. They do make a pretty decent breakfast. Lovely ambiance right outside by the ocean.

This is a beautiful place to enjoy your meal and ocean view. Staff here is fantastic they always try their best to get you what you need. They need to improve their food quality though. I don't know how to advise them about except to say they must add little more variety of food because they serve people from all over South Africa and abroad.

Hidden away next to the beach with a great atmosphere. Food is delicious and pet friendly. Service could improve a bit, but other than that, a great experience. Food is cooked well and reasonably priced.

The site is great and the ambiance is created that you are on the beach.Service is a tad slow but there seemed that only one waitron was managing all the outside tables. It was hot work!The food was enjoyable.
