Dokolewa Pools Hut
Please do some maintenance on this hut and bunk beds. It is in such a beautiful location, it deserves it.

Dokolewa Pools Hut
The hut is perfectly situated. The river will bubble you to sleep. The fireplace is well designed and is near the river. I loved staying over at this hut during the hike. You can enjoy a cool dip in the pools after a long day of hiking. this is perfect to let your feet rest. The hut is very basic, and could do with a bit of maintenance. The hut is divided into two rooms, each sleeping 8, on bunkbeds. The mattress covers are torn in places. Each room has a shower and toilet, do not expect much, you are on a hike. The hut has cold running water.

Fatastic setting. The hut is a log cabin with about 8 bunk beds (16 beds), with mattresses. No electricity, but it does have two flush toilets and showers. BUT you won't need to shower as the hut is at an amazing pool with a waterfal. It also has a braai boma stocked with wood. We had a wonderful time!

Five stars for the stunning location of the hut situated in indigenous forest on the Politsi river with a waterfall and natural pool right on your doorstep. This is a wooden hikers hut on the Magoebaskloof hiking trail and have sixteen beds, two cold showers, two flush toilets, kitchen with two tables and benches. The hut has a verandah with the most stunning view. There is a braai lapa next to the river where you can relax and be peaceful. The hut is exclusively only for hikers on the Magoebaskloof trails. You can only hike to this hut and bookings are made through Safcol.

The hut here is clean however the carpet is musty and old which gives off a bit of an unpleasant smell. To do overnight trails in the woodbush forest (and possibly sleep here to the sound of the river), please contact Safcol for a hiking permit. The location is beautiful with a serene waterfall and natural pool.

Very basic accommodation next to a steam and a natural pool where you can have a swim to cool down. No electricity or hot water. Under roof area where you can do your cooking and enough wood to get some heat after the swim. There is no car parking as cars should be Parked at the De Hoek hut about 1 km away. Parking is under the trees and safe

It's quite dark and damp, but a very welcoming site after the long and technical hike from Waterfall hut.
