Ongoye View Residence

This residence is amazing. We enjoyed so much our stay in South Africa in this confortable, well equiped and beautifull home.Mtunzini is a very pretty city, with a nice beach, and close to many touristics sights.The hosts were very nice and helpfull.

Loved the time with my family in the luxurious holiday home. Well equipped 5 star holiday with friendly efficient.staff. Our family spent quality time at meal times, this home ticked all the boxes for us to entertain and cook up family meals which we enjoyed from the balcony with spectacular views over the valley, would love to come back...special family time

Fabulous! We stayed at Ongoye View Residence for Easter Holiday with our family. It’s a beautiful house, stunning views, and friendly neighbours. Gorgeous beach just 5 min drive and a Supermarket at walking distance in case you forget anything. Owner was super kind and responsive! Would definitely go back!

Honestly just sensational - where do I start?From the moment we arrived and went up the drive we all started smiling and knew we'd have a great time - as we did. The photos actually don't do the house justice. It is just stunning - the architecture, the decoration, the furnishings. Everything was not only beautiful but designed to be enjoyed and to work with the surroundings. We loved being in the pool during the day, before a bit of lounging on the incredibly comfortable sun loungers beside it, and then having a few sundowners on the front terrace. The view is just so wonderful it enhances your day! The outdoor eating area is also fantastic - as was all of the house!Erik was wonderful to deal with, and it was a pleasure to meet Pie who settled us in with such charm. Mokey the housekeeper kept the house beautifully, and was never in our way.'Zini' itself we loved - great selection of food in the supermarket and the deli at The Clay Oven (whwre we also got great takeaway pizza from). The beach is just amazing - miles of deserted sand.We can't wait to go back - thanks so much for letting us stay Erik.

Ongoye View Residence is incredibly beautiful. Looks exactly like the photos if not better.It's perfectly situated close to the beach and the local Spar should you need it, but still feels as though you are tucked away in the Zululand hills.Mokey, the house manager was great. Friendly, Witty and always on hand to assist. He was lovely.Erik, owner, was also great. Friendly, patient and professional. He also made sure to check on is during our stay.The one thing that should be noted if you take an all adult group is that the house is 4 bedrooms with bunk beds in the one room. With a healthy sense of adventure and fore warning this should not be a problem.We are planning another trip to Mtunzini for a longer stay at Ongoye View. It was well worth it.

We had planned for a perfect getaway to Ongoye View Residence but what we experienced from the moment we got there, was truly spectacular. The house is perfectly located close to restaurants, shops, the beach, the picturesque uMlalazi Lagoon and Mangroves. Our best moments were always back at Ongoye View Residence, which was amazingly a home away from home for us.

Superb open plan living in a stunning area of South Africa. It is beautifully finished and is a well equipped home while maintaining the relaxed feel you want on a break, walking distance to the local shops and 5 min ride to an incredible beach. We had a wonderful weekend with the family in this beautiful sanctuary....highly recommend

Great house, very friendly hosts, neighbors are great as well to support. Views are stunning. House is new with all comfortable items your are expecting. Swimming pool which can be used in the winter! We travelled: Jo-Burg, Kruger, St Lucia, Mtunzini, Durban, fly to Cape Town

Been here a few times. The view is excellent, the rooms are spacious and clean.
