I’m not the one to name and shame but on Thursday, 29 Dec 2023,I reached out to a few nail salons for acrylic tips and a colour on Facebook - they never got back to me, and I assumed they were on leave for the Christmas period. I eventually got a response from a woman based in Randburg, Blackheath who said she had an opening and she could assist. I was over the moon and looked at her catalogue on WhatsApp and was so taken aback by the amazing quality and professional nails done! I showed her a pic of what I was looking for, she said that she can definitely help except that she did not have the colour chrome I was looking for, I asked Anisa if I could choose an alternative colour chrome to which she replied that I could. I then contacted her again later in the evening to ask if by any chance they could help with another set of acrylic tips for my daughter to which she replied that they can do 2 sets at a time …. Shocked that I was in luck and booked her.9h15am we arrived at the salon in a little shopping complex just off Beyers Naude, walked inside and we were greeted with very enthusiastic young ladies who told us we could sit anywhere as it was empty. We sat down and we showed them pictures of what we were looking for ….. the look of complete shock from all 4 of the ladies because they did not have the “chrome” dust at all! I’m tact they had no clue how to do it! They asked to use my phone to look for something similar???????? They were clueless and they had absolutely no colours or nail colour sets to choose from! when I asked if they were qualified they replied yes! I said then I will go for a pink ombré set….. for me to continue with this sad story will just anger me all over again!I was given an untrained unqualified inexperienced lady who had no clue what she was doing despite my concern the entire time! The other lady doing my daughters nails kept explaining to her what to do and in the end I settled for something ugly and I paid full price!They shared their glue, the lamp, the worn out nails files, the brushes were dilapidated bent and buckled, the actual salon was awful and had I not been lied to and lead to believe I was in luck, I never would have wasted my 3 hours and money!I did report my concern and my utter disappointment to the “owner” showed pics of my awful nails, her response was understanding at first and she said her salon has high ranking in the industry, and then when I declined the offer for a new set and a foot massage as I did not have time to drive all that way and sit for another 3-4 hours, her attitude changed and she said she would not refund me and would come and redo my nails in my home (which was over the top) and I declined. I told her to send me proof of all the ladies working in the salon’s certification and/or qualification, to prove that I was being unreasonable and she said I was not being very nice.My daughters nails were OK, but glue was all over the sides, in the nails, around the fingers….. she eventually filed them right down and said never again!Consumer protection act has been contacted wrt the untrained staff and concerns were noted! Consumers are not always right but when you send proof and you say I am being “not nice” - then it’s time to look at yourself and your business ethics!I got my nails re-done at a beautiful, clean and hygienic Salon called Buff & Blade - in Lifestyle centre- full set of acrylic tips, and pink ombré! All staff are dressed the same, it is R290 which is so much cheaper than this fake false rip off of a so called salon!!!!!!!I am still demanding a refund because your salon goes against everything in the CPA!You are a thief and a liar!!

The nail technicians were friendly, so was the owner. My sister was very happy with her nails. I not so much. The lady who did my nails mentioned she only did toes and not nails, so I was taken aback when she proceeded to do my nails after my toes. Application needed more attention to detail. My nails were filed thin...which has never happened and a week into it the gel is coming off, also another thing thats not ever happened- this after being told it should last a month which is the standard period

I have thought a lot about this review but it is always best to be honest.I'll start at the decor - awful.Missing and discoloured ceiling boards.Pealing wallpaper.Tatty couches, I would never sit on.Despite this the job on my nails was well priced and okay.

Friendly, welcoming staff who were very patient and helpful to someone who pretty much never does her nails. So happy with how it turned out - especially considering it did not break the bank!

The nail technicians were so friendly, so was the owner. I'm very happy with my nails and hair. Excellent services, thank you.

This business does not know how to do nails, nor do they know how customer service works. I've done my nails about four times here and there were always issues with it; lifting, chipping, lumpy nails. I think the product are really cheap and the nail techs are inexperienced. I had complained to Anisa, the owner, and she is not bothered by unsatisfied clients, do not waste your money here.

I had the most amazing experience, the staff is great!!! I'm definitely loving my new set, Thank you so much for the outstanding service!!!!

Did my nails and not happy at all!!They are untidy and messy, there are gaps in the acrylic and bumps all over they everywhere. They are all uneven and some completely off shape. Some parts of certain nails have no nail polish. Definitely not going again. Cant believe I paid R230!!!!

I am not impressed with my eyelashes. This is my second week with the lashes and they are all falling out, not in singles , in clumps ! I showed the lady a picture and the results looked nothing like it. All the eyelashes were the same length from the inner corner to the end. Not worth the R350.
