Planet Fitness Signature - Olympus

Been going here for almost a year now since swapping gyms, love it, recommended. great staff and on point machines.

Great options, from swimming to running outside, to weights and cycles. Helpful employees. Feels pretty safe to park outside. Clean, well maintained facilities. Nice coffee shop with limited, but tasty menu if you're pressed for time and need some fuel.

Nice gym and equipment. Extremely busy in the evenings. And the staff likes to talk to other staff by yelling and screaming over eachother, just not very professional.

Second vehicle of mine stolen in last year at Planet Fitness. No security. First Ford Ranger stolen and this week Toyota Hilux. Total cost of vehicles lost there in excess R1m. This gym and it’s owners have to take the security issues more serious. I am not the only person that suffered these losses. Still they take membership fees and the rest be damned. People paying fees expect to feel safe and know that possessions are safe as well and the park and enter at own risk is a cowardly out from accepting that security is sub-standard, in fact non existent. Please rather go toFitness Centres in well lit areas and large shopping malls with more than one person and security camera on the lookout.You are as far as I am concerned creating a environment where criminals can go ahead with the actions without interruption. One almost wonders how many others benefit from this vehicle theft and if fitness is the only legit business amongst other suspect operations.Please be aware that your vehicle and possibly you are not safe at Planet Fitness in Ajax Road, Olympus. Owners do not care and not interested in improving security.

An outing on its own. You can come gym, run on the rooftop, have a good shower and lunch after with your gym pals. The planet fitness is clean, staff friendly and helpful. Staff are continuously cleaning machines that have been used. The planet fitness design is also appealing to the eye - seems like containers that have been converted with large windows. I adore this design! During covid one needs to bring your own pool noodles, pool boards and towels when using the pool. I am unsure if the shower facilities are available during covid.

This is my current gym. It has pretty much everything you could want in terms of equipment and it's never too crowded. But they are very slow and disorganised with repairs/maintenance. The steam Room was broken for like 2 months and I kept asking when it would be fixed but no one knew what was going on. This was very disappointing when heat therapy was half the reason I wanted a gym membership. Also, keep in mind, although they have a generator, during load shedding a few of facilities don't work. Especially the ones that require heat. I would definitely suggest you get the 1 week free trial first and try out EVERYTHING in the gym to make sure you are really happy with it. I honestly don't know if I would have signed up if I knew before what I know now. But overall day to day it's a decent health club.

The gym is clean and well taken care of. Unfortunately the staff have no sense of respect and understanding when it comes to disabled parking. The staff continuously park on the disabled parking even after I spoke to the manager and explained that it’s clearly not right. Staff member even continued to say, and I quote “They steal cars here, that why I park here”. The arrogance.

One of the best gym's I have ever been a member of. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The equipment is top class. And the running track and function training on the roof offer a unique experience.

The best gym in PTA East
