Be careful. I came because I fell sick from malaria. They refused to admit me before I paid a 80000 Rand fee (equivalent to 5600 USD). They refused to provide me with any proof of payment for this. I was assured that I would be reimbursed, and that I would receive all the paperwork in the mail. Not only did they put me through a number of unnecessary screenings to charge me more, since I was released, they completely ignored my emails, they screened all my insurance companies calls. I have to call them regularly in hopes of getting a hold of a financial officer, which is hard because they never answer the phone. Every time I was promised a document, it is never sent. The only times it has been is when I forced the person to stay on the phone until I received it. It has been 4 months, and there is no indication i will be reimbursed. Do not pay upfront (i have to with my insurance). This is a for-profit institution, and tries to find every way to steal from you.

I was totally blown away with my stay at Umhlanga Hospital when I went for my surgery. From the professionalism of the security guard when I was entering the hospital right through to when I was discharged when I was cleared to go home. Netcare is truly a remarkable group!

Quick service, private. Medical aids accepted, very expensive as with any other hospital. Not on the Delta network for discovery Delta saver members. Goodluck, get better, or well wishes for any relatives admitted or in casualty.

This is the Netcare Head office. There is ample secure parking and accesibility is wheelchair friendly. Beautiful entrance and practical boardrooms for meetings. Nice canteen that serves well priced food and a decent capachino. Small smoking area outside. Friendly environment.

Good safety precautions in place with good security. Very Helpful staff and place is neat and clean.

I honestly think it’s high time you change your menu it’s been the same food for years and the standard has dropped
