Awesome venue for weddings, functions. Food was excellent and waitrons service super efficient and non invasive. Beautiful open sided Chapel with lovely breeze blowing through. Reception hall was really welcoming and not small nor too big. Intimate. Bar service excellent. We were showed where to park and explained where to go by venue staff. Beautiful venue. Intimate.

If you want a stress-free wedding (both planning phase, days leading up to the wedding and actual wedding day) you just absolutely cannot go wrong with The Plantation. Sarah will literally take you by the hand - if you are confused, she will explain everything and help you make decisions. Sequence of events, timelines, hour by hour is planned out in detail. Everything is taken care of. I had the best sleep of my life the night before my wedding at the venue. Just the best!!!

It was an absolute delight to have our wedding at the Plantation. Sarah and her team are the most professional and have the best attention to detail! Every detail is thought of and the actual day went perfectly. The food and everything was above superb and beyond what we expected. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants a wedding in a beautiful coastal forest with the best team by your side. We can't thank Sarah and her team enough for creating our dream wedding and being so patient especially during a pandemic! There is a reason this venue has won so many prizes!

Starting as a family’s dream to relocate to the Eastern Cape, The Plantation was Port Elizabeth’s first custom built all-in-one wedding venue. Since opening its doors in 2006, the passion and attention to detail from the owner-managed family business has led to The Plantation having been repeatedly awarded as one of South Africa’s top wedding and event venues.The Plantation acquired a second venue, The Boma, in 2010. The Boma is located next door to The Plantation and is a more informal venue offering potjies and spitbraais, perfect for outdoor events such as milestone birthday parties, forest weddings and corporate events.In 2018, The Plantation added a third venue to its collection – 39 on Church Guest House and Conference Centre. Centrally located in Walmer, 39 on Church offers superb accommodation for business and leisure travellers and The Plantation and The Boma event guests. It also has a conference centre with two fully equipped conference rooms.

We loved our wedding at the Plantation and highly recommend this venue. Sarah, Ralph and team are very professional and reliable in creating a wonderful and memorable experience, and the venue itself is beautiful and well-suited to small or medium sized weddings. We are very appreciative for the guidance, advice and insight The Plantation offered us in realising our vision for our unconventional and queer wedding ceremony and reception. All our guests raved about the food as well.

Had our wedding at The Plantation on 23rd December, 2021. Really awesome venue. Food was really good, the venue and chapel were all prefect. Couldn't have asked for a better venue.The staff made it easy to plan and were well organised and on top of everything - great attention to detail. Waiters/waitress were all very polite and friendly.Can't fault anything about the venue or the event.

I've attended quite a few weddings here. It is a really beautiful venue nestled among the trees.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at the Plantation in a cottage tucked away in the beautiful surroundings. The bed was comfy and warm with an electric blanket and breakfast was delicious with a flapjack stack as a starter before a full English breakfast.

Recently had our wedding at the Plantation and honestly it was amazing. Sarah, Ralph, Talitha and the rest of the Plantation team are really exceptional. We experienced them as being professional, friendly, welcoming, and made the process of wedding planning such a joy. The day turned out beautifully, the venue is stunning and with it being a bit out of the city and tucked away it really made the event that much more special. The food was great, no complaints from us or any of our guests, only good things to say. If you're thinking of having a wedding in PE I would definitely recommend the Plantation.

This venue was absolutely stunning! I loved how easy it is to drive there with any car basically even though I have a 4x4. It was nice to have staff around that directed us to parking and then the church since we we're a little late. I loved that the church was well sheltered from the rain. The garden is beautiful really makes you feel closed off and away from the city. The venue was lovely with that fire burning inside. I loved the fairy lights in the trees and that they accommodate for smokers. Had the best vegetarian meal yet at this place. This venue will make any bride and groom happy who has the right amount of guests :)
