Decent family park with good wildlife. Fun trail walk. Downside toilet facilities needs upgrades as well as unpaved road. Overall experience good.

If I could give zero stars I would. The staff at reservations & head office are next to useless when it comes to client service. They have no idea what their own tariffs are and refuse to accept that their own marketing contradicts the prices they quote. Then if you finally come right, you realise when you arrive is a massive amount of trouble to go to for subpar accommodation & amenities. Stick to SANParks, at least their staff are helpful.

Entrance was free. The reserve is neat and clean however toilet facilities need to be improved. Beautiful surroundings and scenery. Apparently there is a variety of wildlife, but we only saw a few zebras. There is also a hiking trail. Overall, a good place to enjoy a picnic or braai or go on a hike.

Beautiful grassland and forest in a very green part of Pietermaritzburg. There are views. A network of short hiking and mountain biking trails make it a valuable amenity for the region.The head office of the organisation is here and one can book accommodation in their game reserves and resorts throughout the province of KwaZulu-Natal.

I live on the outskirts of the park in Pietermaritzburg. This Bush Buck visits me often. This picture was taken from my patio and he was watching me drinkingmy tea and didn't even run away when I took this photo of him. A year ago there were 2 of them. So I'm left wandering where the other one is. This one must be lonely. I can tell you this park has lost its grandeur.

It's so peaceful and quiet in Queen Elizabeth Park. We have picnics there quite often.

Very nice for a hike or family pick nick, good crowds. Not too busy some zebras and other wild life and a view of PMB.

Friendly and efficient staff but if you need detailed information about a particular resort rather phone the resort. Central reservations only deal with reservations and information like best route to the resort, facilities and amenities as well as liquor licence status are best obtained directly from the resort.

I was disappointed in the bad condition of the entrance to this supposed to be park" it is wicked to think that it has deteriorated to such an extent. VERY SORRY
