This place has the most amazing selection of shweshwe fabric. The good stuff, not the cheap imitation. The fabrics are arranged by colorway, so that you can see how the different patterns go together in the same colors. They also sell ready-made items. On top of that, the people are really nice and very helpful. Highly recommended!

Beautiful fabric that can be fashioned into whatever suits your African-styled clothing fancy. They always keep you updated on the progress of your clothing if tailoring and greet you with a helpful smile. Worth the price and will amaze wherever you go.

Visiting from overseas, I popped in to buy some Shishwe fabric/ African prints. Warm, professional service with so many fabrics and items to choose from. Have just pre-washed my fabrics and they came up beautifully. Good prices too.

Visited this shop in the first week of January. The man was very friendly. He took the time to explain the difference in type/quality of the various fabrics available and then left me in peace to browse and make my choices - which I really appreciated. I bought three fabrics and found it very hard to choose since they have lots of gorgeous colours/patterns to pick from. If/when I return to Cape Town I shall most definitely return to Mnandi. For all you sewists out there - it is definitely worth a visit!

Mnandi was such a delight. One of the things I was most excited about traveling to South Africa was the shweshwe fabric. I had purchased some indigo at a quilt show in California, but was hoping for more. Found Mnandi online and was encouraged by the reviews. I was not disappointed. So many options, so reasonably priced. If we ever get the chance to come back to Cape Town, I will pack an extra bag.

Very pleased to be surrounded by vivid fabrics as I had hoped. Shop has a nice energy.Bought beautifully made wrap skirt, aprons and small pieces of Shweshwe fabric so cleverly arranged. Adorable owner, kind and helpful.Recommend!
