We had dinner at the restaurant on Friday night, 5 April 2019. We were not impressed with the food at all. Friendly waiter, but that's about it. I had a starter of crumbed mushrooms, very nice, but then the main course... a seafood platter" I think the worst ever

Wonderful place. The food is next level, tasty, fresh. Very kind service.We requested a late dinner, after returning from a night time game drive and they kindly accommodated by putting the order in before our drive and having the food ready when we came back.We had also a late lunch and breakfast, everything was excellent. Eggs look like free range, butter is amazing, tomatoes are tasty. Compared to what you get at the American parks, this is gourmet of the highest level.

The food was good and enjoyable, the service from our waiter, Athi, was excellent. I had the Chicken Bacambert which was surprisingly good. But the place is beginning to look tired and considering that this is the only place with a TV where sport can be watched, replacing the small TV with a big screen TV will be most welcome.

Came in on a rainy evening while our tent soaked, so the warmth and being indoors was thouroughly appreciated. My boyfriend and his dad swore by the tastiness of the burgers. Unfortunately they didn't seem to have the creamed spinach and butternet which usually comes gratis. Prices were higher as they usually are for a steakhouse. Design of restaurant needs slight update. Other than that family friendly and cosy.

Cattle Baron is worth all the reviews given to them. amazing food, amazing service. truly from the heart and we fell in love with African English slang. Food is in gorgeous proportion and even the mushy vegetable they served is good!we ate there shamelessly for 3 times!! despite the enormous amount of good restaurants in the garden route.

Excellent dinner two nights in a row in the middle of winter. The first night, the weather was nice, so we sat on the covered porch to enjoy our Fettuccine Alfredo, good draft beer, and wine, followed by particularly good Malva Pudding.The second night we ran in from the rain, wet and cold. The fire helped us warm up while we shared some delicious Pinotage. We ordered veg burgers with French fries and more of the terrific Malva Pudding. Service was excellent both nights, and we were more than happy with our experience here.

Yumm! Well priced and divine fillet steaks. This is a chain restaurant but quality is of utmost importance. Despite shortage of staff (and therefore we were told to skip starters), we were served very well and in a timely manner! Looking forward to visit again when we are in the area.

Absolutely delicious food. Venison hotpot was piping hot with just the right amount of spice. The sirloin champignon (medium rare) was possibly the best steak I've ever eaten. Very highly recommended!
