Timbercity Northriding

Less helpful then your average Timbercity branch, you bring in a wood sample and they make you measure and fill out their job card, as if you're the wood expert.. Can't wait till one of you come to my practice and I'll ask you what size stint you would like for your heart operation

Not offering too much and staff not having great knowledge about specific wood types or knowing what a scroll saw is.

I have never experienced such bad service, lack of communication and time it takes to either generate a quote or, deliver on time as advertised on their website. After all of this, Timber City Northriding now wants us to collect the items, when it's advertised on their website that orders over R2000 get free delivery within 5Kms (we spent over R6,6K). I live in Olivedale (5,2kms from their store). I now have to get a quote for 200 metres of delivery distance. They say 3-5 working days for online purchases, we phoned, emailed our spec, paid immediately and 10 days later, we had to follow up.Avoid Timber City Northriding at all costs.

We had numerous bad experiences with Timber City, the most recent one was: We bought 8.6 meters of Edging Tape from the branch in Norhridding, and we were wrongly charged for 40 meters, we complained, the branch told us they can't do nothing because the invoice was automatically generated by their head office's computer system, we sent inquiry to their Head office, but Head office pushes us to deal with branch because branch charged us not the head office.This branch in Northridding is managed by a HOOLIGAN and CROOK !Inferior services!!!!!!!!!!!!! INFERIOR SERVICES!!!!!!

Second time at Timbercity, you would think once bitten twice shy. Salesman is of no help. Also had to complete my own cutting form with no help. In these times you would expect great service but clearly timbercity north riding is making enough so they don’t care about about repeat business.Not even a sign of a branch manager.

I had to drive around a little through Deco Park to find the building but I was glad I cam to this Timbercity, we had to wait a few minutes as they do get quite busy, but we had a chance to go through a bunch of their swatches in the reception any so the time went by fast. the staff there are friendly and helpful and within no time we had a quote that we were looking for and the price was very competitive, next time I need wood products this will be my first stop

If I could score a 0 I would have.The most unprofessional service. A don't care attitute.I just want a simple standard bathroom cabinet for the basin to replace the damaged one. So now I must compile a cutlist for them to pre-cut as their design software licence expired - no money to renew.Pathetic, pathetic .......

You'll get overpriced timber. That's all. Don't go here for service. You'll get none. The Branch manager is just plain Lazy. No ability to solve problems. Total waste of time.

gouge people!!!! and no use after you logged companied!!! they get too used from customers complains, they just ignore complains, only help may come from consumer protection office.I was charged for 20 meters for only 8.9 meter edging service!When I requested an explanation, I was told it was the head office's computer generated invoice they cant do anything !!!

Christmas will come before Timercity Delivers.We ordered a few pieces of wood to be delivered at our apartment (not even 15 minutes away from this branch) and it took them more than three days to deliver (after waiting four days for them to cut it). Firstly, they said they will deliver on Tuesday at 13h00 and I made special arrangements from my work to be home to accept the delivery. Alas, nothing more than a ghost of my wood appeared at my doorstep. After a conversation, they said the delivery will come on Wednesday, where my special treatment from work expired.We then proceeded to ask for delivery on Thursday (today) and after being told the driver is on our way, we have been waiting for two hours. Not only do you have to bend and break rules for Timbercity, but I am pretty sure Christmas will come before our wood. The sales rep will not take our call, despite the fact that we can hear her speaking in the background after the other lady oh-so-kindly advised us that she was not in office. The entire team in the branch is unhelpful, I am sure a child could have done a better job.I am still waiting.
