Came across this place by mistake. Due to my experiences of their outlets in JHB, wasn't a big fan of them. Branches in Greenside and rosebank mews.The waitress was friendly and easy to communicate my order to. Helpful to any other request that I may have made. Sitting outside was pleasant well. The interior looked very nice and it was lit up. Couldn't hear if there was music in the background thou. Will try it again soon.

Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was quiet. Service was shocking, the wine we ordered was off! The waitress had a very indifferent attitude. Only after pizza had been delivered to the table were we informed that there were ingredients missing. I aged 16 lifetimes waiting for the bill! Really poor experience at what used to be a good restaurant.

Doppio Zero at the Pearls of Umhlanga is a must-visit for anyone looking for a great meal in a stunning location. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the beautiful ocean views and modern decor. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the service is excellent.The menu at Doppio Zero is extensive, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The portion size was generous, and the dish was beautifully presented.Overall, my experience at Doppio Zero was fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was unbeatable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal with a view.

The pizzas are really lovely with fresh ingredients. I opted for the eggs and greens and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Meal was a little on the small side, I guess due to it being under the health òption. The Nutella flapjacks was a hit. It was too cold and windy and doors were opened at one stage due to a complaint from their Head office based in JHB who had no idea of the weather in Durban. Thanks to our gracious waitress Lungile who saved the day cause hubby was prepared to leave.

Very cool spot for a Mother’s Day brunch , the gift of a cookie and a tiny tree in a branch was sweet.Service immensely slow though but the food was great !

I arrived at the restaurant at 10 on a Sunday morning. There was ample seating space and we did not have to make a reservation. The wait staff were very attentive to us and friendly. My friend and I ordered a Wholesome Toast and Croissant French Toast respectively.The Croissant French Toast was accompanied by caramelized banana and maple syrup. The original dish also had bacon but I chose to substitute this with additional bananas instead. I really enjoyed this dish, it was presented well and tasted delicious. The fried sweet banana is an underrated treasure.The Wholesome Toast was summery and refreshing - the creamy chickpea mayo paired off perfectly with the avocado and crunchy chickpeas. The portion size was good and is great if you want to eat out while still being healthy. The dish was tasty, but the flavors could have been a little spicier.For drinks, we had freshly squeezed orange juice and the fresh ginger, lemon and mint tea. Both drinks did not disappoint and were true to their name in that it was fresh.I've always visited various Doppio Zeros in Johannesburg. This was my first time at the Umhlanga branch and will definitely not be my last!

Awful service. We were seated at a table and rudely asked to move tables just as we were about to order. Reason for moving us was because it was reserved. Then why seat us there in the first place. Really disappointed. Left to patron one of the many other restaurants at the newly opened Oceans Mall.
