An amazing place. If you looking a great place to escape from the city life this is a great idea. We had a great time and everything was supplied to us. Very clean.

Wonderful farm ambience, well-equipped cottages and as expected, the wood-fires hot tub was something special to sit in for hours on end even in cold winter nights. My wife and I visited recently and the hospitality of Elsabé (manager/owner) and Rhodes (supervisor) was wonderful - all the details to make this a memorable stay. Highly recommended!

Absolutely epic weekend at Under Oak Cottages. Elsabe and Rhodes were so unbelievably hospitable and helpful. We stayed at Josephine cottage and Comice. Both are beautiful (but if you have more.than 2 people and can afford a bit more I highly highly recommend Comice).The farm itself is beautiful, with nice walking trails. You can mountain bike nearby but the signage isn't great - I'd recommend using Under Oak as a base and strike out to the multitude of wine farms, restaurants, and farm stalls throughout ceres, and hikes and MTB in tulbagh.The woodfired hot tubs are EPIC! Bear in mind you'll need a few hours to stoke them, but they get super toasty. Rhodes will not only sell you big bags of wood at R25 each, but will set the fire up for you.I highly highly recommend Under Oak for a weekend getaway from CT.

Dankie Elsabé ons het baie lekker gebly. I can highly recommend this place. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck over looking the dam and mountains. We even caught some fish from the deck. The place are very neat and clean and have everything you need. Rhodes the overseer was also very helpful.

This is now my go-to place when wanting to escape the city for a short break. I stayed in ‘Rosemarie’ for one night only and I cannot wait for the next stay which will definitely be longer. The cottage was clean and I felt safe being there during this pandemic time. The wood-fired jacuzzi is out of this world! This feature alone is a reason to visit the establishment. We used one bag of wood for 3-4 hours in the jacuzzi. The indoor fireplace was also lovely as well as the two outdoor fireplaces. I initially thought the studio set-up might be too small but the space is perfect for a short stay for a couple. Plenty of wood available to use at R25 a bag. Complimentary bottle of wine on arrive was a nice touch. Would be great if they had a SnapScan code in the room to pay for wood and other local produce on offer. Bring enough cash with you if you would like to purchase wood and other goodies. We were met upon arrival by a gentleman named Rhodes who was extremely friendly an welcoming and showed us how to use the jacuzzi. The only concern I have with the jacuzzi is that I’m not sure if the water can be replaced everyday upon request. There is a dirt road coming into the farm but it’s not bad at all, a normal car can make it through. Security seems very good as well. No reception for MTN but good WiFi in the cottage. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to explore the surrounding area but the actual farm is beautiful and there seems to be a lot of activities in the area. Would recommend driving via Bain Kloof Pass during the day to get to/from the place, it’s really relaxing and scenic.

This is a very stunning setup. The staff and the owner Elsabé Viljoen was so nice and friendly. My wife and I stayed in the Rosemarie cottage! The care taker Rhodes was so helpful and very welcoming on our arrival. He explained to us how to work the wood fired jecuzzi and even offered to do it for us. We liked the fact that its so nice and quiet. The cottage is nice and private. I cant wait to go back there for another holiday.

Wanting to get away from the city life?Visit this Beautiful, peaceful and tranquil cottage.Rhode's gets a 10 for his hospitality and making our stay memorable. I will definitely visit this amazing place again. The Comice Cottage is heaven on earth.❤

The cottage is very well set up with everything we needed. Hot tub was a great relaxing time. Rhodes was jacked up and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Stayed in Anne's favourite cottage. Was great. The staff are friendly and helpful. Close enough to grocery stores that you can get any extras you forgot, but far enough away from everything that it feels like a proper get away. Facilities are nice and are family friendly with a fence around the unit I was in. Hot tub is fantastic
