This place is a great addition to Aliwal Noord as the stopover places are quite limited, especially if you are looking for pet-friendly places. Even though they had loadshedding, they did their best to serve some delicious food. This is our new favourite in Aliwal Noord after the one on the other side of the Orange River closed down. See you again next year!

Very nice farmstall. We had lunch there, the food was good, the setting peacefully & inviting and the staff very friendly and helpful. I can recommend this place, their biltong is some of the best I’ve had in a very long time and I will definitely visit them again when I pass through. The history of this building is a must to read. Some history and photos can be seen at the lodge across the road.
