Workshop is a mess but is luckily not indicative of the quality of service and knowledge of the staff. The owner really knows his Mercs and, more importantly, has most common original spares available at a very good price. I'm happy to take my car here rather than the dealers where I'm on a waiting list and get charged twice as much.

I have been taking my Mercedes to Schalk for the past 10 years or so and have never been disappointed.The owner gives you sound advice on what to change & when to change regarding repairs.He has good parts and is reasonably priced.I will recommend Star Auto Centre for mercedes repairs

Had a automatic gearbox problem on a 2007 B class.Tried everything, everyone.....no luck.....Took is down to Schalck at Star...He had done Start diagnostics, reset some settings (mechanical work) and there you have ot, perfect!!!!Drove the car all the way up to Potch, like a dream, no issues.Months later, she is still running like a dream.This guy KNOWS his stuff and will not load unnecessary expenses to make a buck.Does the job right, 1st time at an affordable price.

Shocking shocking shocking. He rebuilt my motor Was told it was ready but had to pay 30000 remaining payment instantly before release. Did so only to find it was not complete. No sooner had the money reflected did they literally go on a go slow. Vehicle was eventually ready only for it to seize on the way home. When I informed him I need the vehicle as I was going on holiday he replied sorry he’s closed till 6 January. Don’t take your car there. Litigation is about to commence
