Standard Bank | Silverton Branch

This branch is understaffed and the entire staff is demotivated. The service is extremely slow and pathetic. This branch needs to be under new management or they will lose customers. This has to be taken very seriously, this is pathetic.

We were there today, the service was absolutely awful, the woman who helped us didn't change the information that she needed to properly so now we have to go back again to another branch to sort everything out. Extremely poor service

This is the worst branch I ever visited. Waiting for a card collection for more than 45 min, nonsense.

The service is soo poor.. only 10 people on the line to collect card but it took more than an hour waiting to be assisted.. only two tills are operating. I'm no longer interested in reopening a card with standard bank at all. It reminds me why I left standardbank from the 1st place. POOR SERVICE.

Bad service doesn't begin to describe the service at this bank. Honestly if you can avoid going to this branch cause you are guarantee to wait over 45 minutes before you're assisted. I don't know if they are short stuffed or the stuff doesn't care cause I've been here multiple times and each time has been really bad.I had a card delivered here and they were supposed to contact me when they received it but they didn't and I had to order it again.My advise would be call your banker and see if they can assist you over the phone before coming here.

Service here is utterly slow, the staff rather walk slow and catch up than assist clients. Allocate 1h15 mins just for waitingThis branch deserves a negative rating.

The worst service ever!!!! Went t9 the branch for a credit card collection ONLY, once I got a chance to enter @10:02 (after standing in line outside for about 12 minutes) your name goes into a list and they told me they will call my name....sitting here waiting....now 11:16 and still no service.......and this is only a card collection.....imagine something serious needed to be done????

Absolutely NO customer service. Staff runs on own Africa time in assisting clients. And then you have an arrogant receptionist with a superiority complex that believes she is doing you a favour in letting you see a customer assistant. It is Silverton's biggest joke. Before opening an account, take into consideration any other financial institution's turn around time for issues is 24hours, unfortunately with Standard Bank it is NO less than 72 hour's plus, and it can take up to 3 months. Once your query has been raised, they will not act upon this unless the due date is reached as per sms send through to you. If this is the type of service you get, well it just ain't worth it. NOT for the amount of service fees you have to pay.My advice. Check your account and close your account immediately.
