aha Alpine Heath Resort

This is our second time her. Beautiful surroundings. Awesome staff. Especially Ntombi and the ladies at reception. The chalet was also top notch. Activities was also very nice. Now for the not so nice…the food in general was not very accommodating for guests that do not consume either pork or beef, I had to request for chicken sausages for breakfast because very limited options. Coffee Co menu says lamb chops but there was no stock. Saturday was a braai buffet also not accommodating. Lamb was also not served. It was a pleasant stay but the food was a disappointment!

It's a beautifully designed space. The homes are all designed to have great views of the mountains. There are stunning hiking trail, horse riding for kids and adults, fly fishing, games, a cinema experience and so much more. Muzo's - the bar area is decorated with all types of musical paraphernalia and has such a great vibe.

What an awesome place in the Northern Drakensberg. A mere 3 1/2 hours from the hustle and bustle of Gauteng. Our stay was exceptional in chalet number 18 overlooking the mountains with views for days! All amenities are catered for and we could just relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Got to test my fly fishing skills also at the well stocked dam on the property. Thanks to all staff at Alpine Heath for making our stay as comfortable as possible. We will definitely be back.

The resort is located in the beautiful view, sun shines everyday. Breakfast buffet is excellent, dinner buffet is delicious. Room is clean and good services. There is bar and coffee shop open every day. Full of activities for kids and adults.

Experience was lovely. The hiking trails and views are amazing. If you going here ensure you take everything that you need unless you want to pay 3 to 4x the market price. It is a small distance from traditional stores. Staff were amazing in some areas while at reception and the store they were a touch cold. Most of the activities occur over the weekend for those with kids. During the week it is quiet and not much for kiddies entertainment wise. Overall it was very enjoyable, peaceful and safe. I would go back in future with better preparation. Baby sitting services are offered on request and booking. Breakfast was lovely.
