Allan Wilson Shellhole Moth Club

A pleasant environment with lovely entertainment. It is also a safe place for women to attend unaccompanied by men. The food is good. There is an all round congenial atmosphere.

We attended a private birthday party recently, held in the hall. The venue provided more than enough room for a raucous party for about 70 people, whilst still providing privacy for the club bar next door.The bar is an institution, welcoming faces, a great vibe and good prices! I'm just not sure if it's open to the public though..?

I had to have a meeting at the Alan Wilson Shellhole. It is a lovely venue for many different functions such as Rumbalos, Weddings, 21sts, Various club displays etc. in the main hall. Then there is a lovely pub, for those that like to imbibe cold beverages and big screen TV's for those that enjoy watching a bit of sport whilst consuming there beverages. As it is a Club, membership should be applied for or guests introduced by members, whether a MOTH member or friends of the MOTHS or Social Club member. Then for those that do not want to just and sit and relax at the bar or inside, there is a covered verandah to sit and socialise. Several events of live music are also hosted and if that does not tickle your fancy there is alo the option to grab a bite to eat on certain days where the Shellhole raises funds. There is ample secure parking and the venue is very centrally located in Pietermaritzburg. See you there!

My wife and I went to view a Rhumbelow show at the theater. We enjoyed the show, had great service from the bar and Prego rolls from the kitchen. All in all had a super Sunday afternoon in Sleepy Hollow.

Simple and neat venue. Nice parking area.
