I Personally did not have a good experience here after spending couple thousands trying to fix my air con. Took it back while under warranty for it stopped working after a few days. They tell me that it's another couple thousands for them to sort it. For the part now they claim is broken is not covered by warranty. How can this be. I feel like I have been ripped off. Sitting with a broken aircon after spending almost R6000

Parts were left off of my car.I had to return at my expense to have removed fitted.Covers underneath were not secured either. These began to flap under the car when it was driven at speed. It was very disturbing. I found 4 screws missing. This was after I had asked if all the parts and covers that had been removed, were indeed returned and secured

Im disappointed with the service as in December I have taken my vehicle in for regassing and service, which was quoted and agreed only to find out 2 hours later that pipe needs to be changed as well and additional payment required. I agreed to repair and was told to return in the afternoon to collect my vehicle. Upon return all was fine and aircon in working condition. After 3 days the aircon stopped working so I returned to check fault. Was diagnosed and regassed and an hour later was working again. Another 4 days had passed and the same occurred only this time their workshop was closed due to the festive period.I returned upon opening and was advised that now its going to cost me between 5000 to 8000k.So what did they do for the monies that were paid to them (R2680), should not the fault be diagnosed upon initial visit.I wouldnt be recommending them to anyone as I feel I have been ripped off.BE CAREFUL GUYS

Those guy promised to fix my air conditioner and they said they will check if the gas leak or not. If it's a gas problem they will regas it and I won't pay for check ups. If it's not a gas I'll only pay 150 for check-up. But they just regas my car and took my money and they say they are done but my air conditioner is not working even now. I took my car back to them and they did check up. They say its broken they didn't give my money back as they promised. For better service go somewhere else not there.

A warning to potential customers, approach with these guys with caution. To start, they will charge you R150 for a quotation. If you decide to go-ahead with any work, they will deduct this off the total. In other words, you are in for R150 regardless of whether any work is done or not. Then they'll load the quote with completely unnecessary workI needed a simple re-gassing of my car aircon. Normal cost about R350. The quote I got was for a whopping R4000! They included replacing all aircon piping with custom-made pipes, filters (nothing wrong these). After some backwards and forwards I got it re-gassed for R700. Daylight robbery. Won't ever go back.

My vehicle air conditioner stopped working, so I had it re gased with one of those mobile companies who come out to you. It worked for less than 24 hrs. I called the mobile company again and the guy indicated that I could potentially have a leak, but he agreed to re gas again. Once again, it worked for a few hours and by the next morning, nothing. The mobile company I had used told me that I definitely had a leak, but they were unable to assist as they do not have the equipment used to detect leaks.I proceeded to take me car to Cool Power in the CBD. I explained the events as they had occurred. The owner himself suggested we do a flush and re gas, maybe all it needed was a service. R900 later. The next morning, AGAIN, I had no air conditioner! Frustrated, I went back. This time, they spent over 45min checking the vehicle and came back to me with, “you’re compressor is gone, we can fit a new one at R6600 including labour”.I didn’t immediately agree, as I was frustrated at the initial incompetence and annoyed that I had to fork out R900 just the day before! Not to mention the 2 prior re gases. Also, I had this weird feeling in the pit of my tummy and decided to chat to my hubby first.Winter arrived and I almost forgot about this aircon. As the weather started to heat up again, I was reminded that I could not get through the summer months in Durban without air-conditioning in my car! My husband (who works out the country) suggested I look at getting the current compressor reconditioned, that way, he said, you know what you’re getting.I proceeded to make a few calls and was given the number for Harrack in Durban North. I gave the gentleman details as it occurred, told him I’d had it assessed and it was the compressor. I gave him the part number and he gave me a quote to recondition my current compressor and for a brand new one. He advised me to bring the vehicle in so they themselves could assess it and also confirm the actual part number. I figure, he heard a female on the other end, and probably thought, “mmmm, let’s just make sure...”Took the vehicle in that afternoon, explained again what had happened and what I was advised by Cool Power. Their technician assessed my vehicle and 40min later comes back with, “mam, your compressor is in excellent condition” Imagine my surprise! He informed me that I had a large leak on a pipe and that’s why the gas was only lasting a few hours. He said he didn’t want to comment on Cool Powers diagnosis and quotation (which I thought was quite admirable of him), he just said he found it surprising as the hole itself was quite large and visible to the naked eye.Harrack quote, R2200 all inclusive! I was gobsmacked and quite angry at the thought of me spending almost R7000 for a compressor that my car didn’t actually need!Months later, I have a vehicle with an air conditioner that is working so effectively, that it gets so cold, I have to switch it off every so often! Thank you to Harrack DBN North!People, call around and do your homework before going with the first quote you get!As for Cool Power Durban, I will never refer them to anyone ever! They are no better than your average petty thief.

NOT so cool... Same story as everybody else about re-gassing, leaks being found and repaired only to found a few days later that all the Gass leaked out again. Went back and they (apparently) found more leaks which was going to cost more to fix. I left with paying R950 for nothing and I'm taking my car elsewhere where they know what they are doing. Very disappointed.

Horrible experience, definitely won’t ever recommend someone. Brought my Alfa Romeo with cooling problem, they checked and say needs replacing condenser, close leaks and regas. They told me they will put new condenser coz they don’t guarantee reconditioned one. I agreed and charged me 4500. Next day after taking car same problem, I check under bonnet and realised actually no stripping done, still original condenser, may only did regassing. Went back and asked to see the old condenser and showed me old one not for Alfa. After aguement finally agreed they didn’t replace with new but only reconditioned original one. Was still angry cos were lying, I showed the technician that the bolts still look original, the car wasn’t stripped for those claimed repairs. I wanted refund and only gave me 500 back. That was daylight robbery and I had to take the car to another dealer who fixed it. Actually the problem was the interior temp sensor.
