Great place to camp, clean and safe. Staff are helpful and polite. Lots to explore and see.

What a WACK experience. The chalet that we stayed in was absolutely filthy - shower walls were slimy, old bars of soap from previous guests were still in the shower, hair from previous guests was in the shower trap (obvious that the shower hadn't been cleaned in months), mould on the walls and around the kitchen sink. The windowsills were full of dust and dead flies. The swimming pool looks like a green swamp. The poor sheep on the property are riddled with ticks, fleas and mites and do not look healthy at all. The entire property is littered with the owner's filth. The ablution facilities at the camp site are enough to make a person sick. The thatch roofed chalets even have bats living in them. This place is a disgrace. Would not recommend to anyone. Eastern Cape's premier resort" my arse."

A gem nestled along the Gamtos River. Beautiful lodgings overlooking the valley. An enclosed swimming area with a boma with fireplace attached. Is recreational area has the same magic view and at night one can lay back and count the stars. The resort offers some hiking trails in the immediate indigenous surroundings. It is located close to Jeffries Bay. Just a few minutes drive from you lodging is the Gamtos River mouth with endless miles for beach combing

Arriving at Wacky Woods you feel asif you are transported into a different realm. The vegetation is dense, green, abundant and beautiful. You pass the ablution block that looks like something Goudi built and know this is something else. Massive metal insects are scattered in the garden, giant mushrooms the size of a dinnerplate grows under the trees, equally giant snails sit on the footpath and then there is th pool. What n fantastic pool in the rocks on various levels with waterfalls and views to see into next week.Unfortunately we had a campsite next to the road between the river and the campsite.The ablution blocks are truely questionable to say the least. But on the other hand the birdlife is the best ever. We heard 5 different kinds of owls at night and many other species day and night.

What to say about Wacky Woods!! This is a resort just outside Jefferys Bay and in between Port Elizabeth. The resort is clean and the staff are friendly. There is a nice rock pool for those warm African afternoons and is a great place for a sundowner overlooking the valley. Wacky Woods is basically on the Gamtoos River. This resort is also used every every four months or so to run psytrance dance parties which are really great. It is really organized. You can camp and BBQ before the dance begins. There are also bar facilities and food trucks as well as arty stalls selling some memories of Wacky. Toilets and Showers are clean and for the price is an absolute steal. Overall if you enjoy out doors and camping as well as dancing this is the place for you. Good Job Wacky Woods!!!

Great place for a vacation in nature, you will definitely leave relaxed. Loved the pool and beautiful views. The manager is available to help you in case you want to organise any activities. Braaied every night. Wood can be bought on site - very good quality and affordable. Will definitely come again.

Great fishing spot. Nice and quiet with very little noise. Kids had a blast at the pool.

What a lovely place. Nice neat, grassed camp sites with lots of trees. The ablutions are nice and neat, hot water, plenty of space and a large shower. The pools are definately a must see and it's situated along the river. Lots of nice art work and very creative environment. Plenty of bird life and frequent visits from the friendly sheep. We planned a one night stay and will stay for another couple of days.
