My mom and dad buy all their meat there and he loves it he always has biltong and droe worse even chilli bites now and then.. They both biltong addicts.. Lol..

Bought meat yesterday, 17 September 2021. For last 4 or 5 months that I've been buying my meat there the meat has been poor... first it was the lamb Chops that were not up to standard, than it was the stew, than the wors and now it was all our meat... the pork chops looked like it went through war and lost that's how badly it was cut, everything was separated and dangling by threads... the steaks looked like it was supposed to go to stew meat... and the stew meat had so much fat and bones that it looked like we bought it for the dogs... the wors looked terrible as well. There were pieces that were so thick we thought we could use it for patties and other pieces was just the skin... I swear I am so disappointed that I'll even go as far as saying Shoprite's meat looked more appetizing than Van Zyls Meat Market...I'm not going to buy meat anymore... they lost a customer and I am ashamed to say I ever recommended it to anyone.

Staff make you feel that you are interrupting their work. Not helpful. Not friendly. So compare the prices: Beef Stew @ R89/kg. Meaty Bones with almost no meat @ R80/kg. Spoke to very unfriendly manager, stating it does not make sense. He lifts his shoulders Makes sense"

Finished work at 5 and got there at about 5:15 - 5:30 not expecting too much seeing as though we got there close on their closing, however, the blockman who helped us not only preped our order quick stixs but was also willing to individually pack each item by weight. Words cannot express my gratitude for receiving epic service.Thank you
