Hermanus Toyota

My niece money was taken out of their car when they came last week for a service . Still had no response from the management. Not the service I expected from this dealership.

Bought a second hand Toyota in Cape Town with a full service history from Toyota. However a stamp in the service book is missing from Toyota Hermanus. Was told by the service manager its not their fault the book wasnt in the car (boggles my mind how he can remember this specific car from 2 years ago). Now I need to drive from Cape Town to Hermanus!

I parked my car, a 20year old Toyota Conquest, near the Whale Coast Fisheries at lunch time today, did not put the alarm on, but when I got back the remote would not allow me to start the car! I stared to panic, but then walked up to Toyota Hermanus where a very nice salesman said he would help me. To cut a long story short, I needed to get the alarm bypass" from home. Rudi

Not interested in making a sale, not willing to bring the vehicle to Stellenbosch for viewing, clearly not all trade ins are accepted as well as they want me, the customer to run around to sell the vehicle that I wanted to trade in which is in excellent condition.

Sadly no fault of theirs, dur to the Durban flooding, their entire stock was washed away. I could not look or test drive a car so I went elsewere. Sad for them. Must be hard on them all to work with nothing

Fantastic experience. Lourens assisted me in purchasing a 2nd hand car for my kids. He was friendly, helpful, thorough. The other staff were also all friendly. It was a pleasure buying a vehicle from them and will do so again.

My Corolla was recently serviced for the first and last time by Toyota Hermanus and I can only describe the experience as very different to what I’ve come to expect from Toyota over the last 25 years - and of an exceptionally low standard.Made simple enquiry about the type and grade of oil used 2 weeks before the service, on the day of the service and some days after the service and, on each occasion, the same “service advisor” could not provide an answer. After several further email exchanges, I was informed that the oil was Total Quartz 15W40 and that it was a “semi-synthetic oil.” It was like pulling teeth!What I was trying to establish was what oil I should buy when topping up. Then discovered that Total manufacture several varieties of 15W40, with no hint as to whether they are made from natural oil, semi-synthetic or synthetic substances. Service advisor had no clue and suggested that I phone the parts manager. I emailed the dealer principal instead. He referred me to the service manager who, to my ever-increasing amazement also had no clue and advised that he would lodge an enquiry with Total. Hard to believe – but true!Several days later I was advised by the “service manager” that the oil used is TGMO CF-4 15W40 apparently made specifically for Toyota by Total. My simple question related to what oil is available at service stations and retail outlets that is fully compatible with this “semi-synthetic” custom made oil remains unanswered to this day, and the circumstances suggest strongly that Toyota Hermanus don’t actually know the answer to the question and couldn’t care less whether the oil their clients use is compatible with their exclusive oil or not.Absolutely shocking service levels Toyota Hermanus and you’ve seen the last of me as a customer!
