John is the most amazing guide ... as his daughter calls him 'The Wee Scotsman'. He is patient, a great teacher, and a master storyteller. You definitely wont regret going fishing with him... especially if it's your first time. We learned to cast and even caught a trout! Enjoy!!!

Of all the fishing shops in dullstroom, this is my favorite.Staff at this shop are extremely friendly and are very knowledgeable and helpful. Many flies are tied in house and are of an excellent standard. Rental fishing rods are also in great condition.Prices in this shop are excellent and only top quality goods are sold here.Cannot wait to visit them again. Would recommend to all.

Very warm reception. Owner (retired from Scotland) immediately struck up a conversation and provided advice on trout fishing and locations. Nice folks and I never got the impression they are simply being nice in order to sell me something. Nice visit. Does not feel commercialised like the bigger fishing shop down the street.

This is a great shop in a great little town. I wish I had known this was the flyfishing mecca of S. Africa! Owner/operator is a Scot expat ex-competitive fisherman so knows his stuff. I wanna come back to guide for him!
