I would not recommend Baraba (lactation consultant) to anyone. I experience pain after 8 months of breastfeeding. I explained all this over the phone asking if she could assist me. Which she said yes too.She stated I should come see her for a consultation. During the first 1 minute of the consultation she basically told me I should see my gynecologist and she couldnot help. She then proceed to charge me R450 for consultation stating she wait for me, by the way I arrived at the time I stated I would be coming not a minute late.If she couldn't help me she should have stated so over the phone not wasted my time and money only to be told I should see my gynecologist.

We went to Westville Baby and mum clinic for the prenatal classes which was very informative. We have been taking our baby to the clinic for his vaccines since birth as baby was premature and couldn’t be in contact with people for the first 6 months. However , we have continued to utilise her services. We have always had a pleasant experience with Barbara La Grange. I’m able to message her whenever I needed advice. As a first time mum, it became daunting and overwhelming at times. I only breastfed for 3 months as baby did not want breast milk. Therefore , I didn’t get to make use of her lactation services and advice. She has been wonderful to both hubby and myself. Practical advice.

Barbara is such a passionate person. Very knowledgeable in breastfeeding. The best help with breastfeeding in Durban. Highly recommended for all new moms!

I called this lady today, advising that I got her number off her website and I just wanted to query if she did any ultrasound scans. Instead of just telling me that she doesn't, she was so so rude, basically yelling at me about how did I get her cellphone number because she did not put her number on her website. Please see attached snippet of website where her number is clearly stated. Furthermore, when you call her telephone number, it goes to voice mail where she actually reads out her cellphone number to contact her. Such a horribly rude woman!
