Scuba Centre -Sodwana Bay Scuba Diving

The dive instructors were exceptionally nice and patient with us as we did your scuba course. I highly recommend going there for your next dive.

Scuba Centre has always been the main dive centre in Sodwana. The staff are knowledgeable and keep up to date with all the current Padi updates and environmental updates. When our family goes to dive and enjoy a holiday, we know who we can depend on. Thanks to all the Skippers that get us to our dive site and everyone involved in training of the helpful staff.

Very nice reefs, skilled skippers and guides, friendly hands on the beach. Organization on day of arrival was not optimal but they made it all up later. Getting through the waves on a small zodiak was just cool

Not the most welcoming reception at all. It’s like they don’t even want you there. Usually from past experiences the dive centers I went into the staff were all cheerful and happy to communicate and tell you what’s going on. Here they couldn’t care what you did to be honest so I am not impressed and won’t be spending my money as they don’t deserve it!Rather try another Centre as I am sure they will be happy to have you!

VERY friendly and easy going staff, highly skilled and knowledgeable. Interesting experience getting into the water from the beach and beautiful reefs.Be aware that you have to pay to get onto the beach separately as it is a national park.

Not the most welcoming dive centre. Reception staff don’t communicate with the beach staff at all so it’s a bit unorganised. They ring you on the morning of the dive for confirmation. The rented scuba gear is a bit shabby.The diving is amazing though! The boat drivers were really good. Some of the beach staff were really well organised and helpful.

Situated in the Woodlands and close to the beach (5km away). Great destination to learn to dive and and do your open water certification. Lovely wildlife and accommodation.

I had the pleasure of completing my Open Water certification with Sodwana Bay Scuba Centre.From the initial enquiry with Greg to the great patience and training by Mathew, they were truly five star.I cannot recommend this dive school enough as they were professional, polite and helpful at every step of the way and true ambassadors to the industry.If you get time, as well as partaking in the diving make sure you try the café on site and have a pain au chocolat, or the Club sandwich as they will not disappoint.Thank you to everyone that made this trip so memorable from the team at the desk, the café, the organizers of the dives as well as the helpers and instructors.

Did four dives with them (OW)Positive:- Our divemasters were all young and motivated to take us to the amazing reef of sodwana bay.- equipment was well maintained- skilled skippersNegative:- don't expect them to be flexible in terms of the diving schedule. They did the dives every two hours from 8:30 to 12:30. So 3 dives on one day can get stressful. (Scheduling an afternoon dive has never been an issue with other diving schools around the world.)- although it was a lot colder than normally in november we were not offered extra clothing besides our rented long wetsuits
