I gave in a Ghd to Declan at Ghd repair johannesburg 3 months ago and it's basically been STOLEN.In the last few weeks Declan has been saying that he would deliver, but every time he comes up with a new excuse (death in family, phone not working, refixing the Ghd, held up with other clients, changed number, etc).Declan is now ghosting me, he does not answer my calls, messages or whatsapps.Rather buy a new Ghd or get it fixed with someone else. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO.

Took my wife’s GHD to be repaired and got it back within 24 hours but paid R750 (pretty steep... the guy said it’s because he uses genuine GHD parts). The guy said there is a 6 month warranty. The straightener didn’t even last 2 days and it stopped working again. When I tried to call the guy to take it back to get it sorted he never answered my calls and hasn’t returned my texts or WhatsApp’s.Don’t use this guy. You are better off putting the money towards a new one or finding someone else who will actually repair it and back their warranty!

I would not recommend anyone to use this service at all.I had given my GHD for repairs with Declan in May after paying R750 for a 6 month warranty". The GHD stopped working less than four months later

1st Interaction. (0 star)Terrible service! I am extremely frustrated & disappointed. I only saw the other customer's review after using this repair services offered by Declan Robertson. I paid for a new GHD heating element for an original GHD straightener but it broke down twice in 3 months. I was provided with a 6 month guarantee but Declan ignores messages and calls although it is only the 3rd month of the 6 month guarantee.2nd Interaction:After the above post, Declan Robertson contacted me and we discussed my expectations. He communicated better and made an effort to fix my GHD. 3.9 Stars.My Recommendation:Discuss with Declan your expectations in terms of communications (i.e. Frequency, Response required, etc). Maybe, Obtain documented confirmation of authenticate parts being used, what has been discussed and penalties to not meeting expectations as documented.I have seen an effort made by Declan in improving his services especially around Communication, so maybe give a him a chance?All the best.

Hung up the call on whatsapp, didnt call back or reply to messages. Wouldnt recommend this service, seem like scammers
