A small museum and a historic church on site. Permits are purchased here to visit the Isandlwana battle site. The lady at reception was friendly and helpful. The church is worth checking out.

A very useful short video and the excellent curation must be commented. Knowledgable and friendly staff is the added value to the centre.Well done Amafa!!

Takes basic to the extreme. Considering this was a major defeat of a supposedly technological advanced army / major victory by a native army you would think more would have been made to explain the circumstances that led to this unnecessary war.The site itself is an improvement on the visitor centre but is poorly maintained. There is a display board but with time has faded and is no longer legible. The local workforce do a good job to keep it tidy and the stones painted but it needs more to commemorate the event.

It's useful to visit this center before you go to the actual battlefield. You also need to purchase your entrance ticket here (it's a small fee). There is a restroom and a great museum that gives background to the history of the area and the battle. It's highly recommend that you visit this battlefield with a knowledgeable guide. We were accompanied by Anthony Coleman - his extensive knowledge and storytelling ability truly makes the history come to life. It's safe to visit the site - pack a picnic basket and chairs, you'll want to spend some time there.

Small but formative museum detailing the Battle of Isandlwana. Near a pretty church and with the cleanest toilets I have seen in a long time. If you are visiting Rorke's Drift, you will want to come here as well, along with the atmospheric battle site.

Excellent. Strong sense of history, an eerie place, but a must see. The tourist cetre needs to be on site and not over a mile away though.

A great battle and victory for the zulus over the British. Well looked after, awesome monuments and views, epic picnic area and hiking trails. - Pitts about the cattle that roam around though
