The two stars is in relation to the fried food. Went with a group and most people complained about the batter being too oily and the meat itself being too salty.Personally I prefer the grilled calamari and prawns combo. It had a more vibrant flavour than the fried food.

Served me rotten black Queen prawns. Highly disgusted.Any Qualified Chef will be able to see that those prawns were off but still chose to deliver rotten food and old stale sushi!! Highly disappointed and disgusted!??

Staff where friendly and the service was good. The calamari starter although tasty as a portion was meager for the price, however the Hake covered in shrimps, cheese and mussels was most enjoyable.

My mom had her 60th birthday and she enjoyed herself with her friends. I'm in Joburg and I've listened to her experience about 4 times in 24 hours about the kind hearted manager, the food and fun they had. Thanks for giving my mother the awesome experience

Had the veg platter soo good. They also served us some tasty wine the week before which was very nice! The service here is always quick but friendly. Would reccomend if youre getting some shopping done!

We always go to John Dory's in Richards bay Boardwalk and always enjoy it but today was a disaster firstly the surf and turf was not right at all the waitress was new no problem with her we even spoke to an old waitress and she offered to sort it out but the problem was the manager or supervisor her name Eliza she came to our table and said no everything is right that's not the first time we order the surf and turf so we know how it's suppose to look she didn't on e offered to fix it or nothing. You go to a pla e to get good food and service for your money and then if you do complain you get attitude. The waitress we know she offered to sort it out why didn't the manager did the same instead standing and lying that the food is right. Very disappointed today

My friends and I frequent John Dory's on a Wednesday for half price sushi. We had a good time there! Be mindful that on a Wednesday the restaurant can become very busy which does slow service a bit.Shepherd is always attentive and always helping out fellow staff members. Sifiso makes excellent sushi, with a smile!
