We just got married at Strandkombuis and the whole experience has been absolutely incredible.The team went above and beyond to make this moment absolutely unforgettable for us.From the venue, to the food and the friendly team everything was just perfect and magical.They have been attending to our every needs to make our celebration exaclty how we wanted it. It was like hosting our wedding at a very cool friend's place as everything was so smooth and easy going.Our guests have enjoyed the relaxed vibe of the place, the beauty of the surrondings, and of course the killer party.From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Ellie and your team for having been such amazing hosts.We will be back!!!!!

booked via WhatsApp a week prior to our visit and confirmed they would be open on the public holiday and got confirmation of my reservation. After driving 1 1/2 hours from Cape Town we got there and there was absolutely nobody around - nobody at reception and no staff. I called to find out what was going on and was told they were not aware of my booking - just don’t understand how you can be in the service industry and get the basics so wrong.

We recently had the Sunday seafood buffet lunch. We spent a wonderful afternoon there - the buffet was scrumptious and hats off to the musician who kept us entertained, and was later joined by the hostess for a few awesome duets. Great views and friendly staff. It was a bit expensive but an absolute treat for a special occasion or when you need a pick-me-up. Be sure to book ahead. They have space for large groups too and some space for kids to wander about.

Awesome place! It is the fancy and enhanced version of Strandloper. The restaurant is under a big tent, protected from the wind. There is a little beach chapel for weddings. At the braai area there is also some cosy seating and on top of all this there are 27 rooms, so your wedding, birthday or teams building is sorted.

While the location is great, beautiful and idyllic. That's essentially the good part. Our room looked like a very poor render of the pictures online, and felt more like a prison cell rather than a pleasant place to stay. The 'coffee machine' advertised was a kettle and cheap instant coffee. The WiFi (as advertised) was... Nowhere seemingly. As were the staff, non existent... Never saw a soul that worked there. The blanket an duvet had stains on them. I reckon they gave us one of the worst rooms (it barely had Windows) in an other wise empty hotel...felt a bit mean. All in all, a poor experience that isn't at all worth the cost.

The location, food and people who work and care for Strandkombuis are absolutely amazing. We were there on a Sunday and had the seafood buffet which was amazing. They had live entertainment from Gareth James who is well worth looking up. The rooms are dated but the rustic charm is the attraction.

The moment my now-husband and I stepped foot at Strandkombuis, we knew that this was our dream wedding venue. The location, the staff, the atmosphere and the food was all round phenomenal. Ellie made us feel so welcome, relaxed and excited about such a big moment in our lives, she won us over completely upon meeting her - a real west coast lady (love it)! Was here for a wedding, a beautiful location and setting. There is no wi-fi except at the reception. Rooms a fairly rustic but comfortable enough beds
