I am utterly inlove with this place, definitely getting property from here. Made me feel like I was far off away from the city . The scenery, cleanliness, security! . Everything is beautiful. And Did you know Gym is free of you are a resident plus they have their own Cinema

Over the past year there has been up and downs but reflecting back I have enjoyed my stay here. We have had a couple of power and water issues in the past but for now this seems to be resolved. The park has added a great presence to enjoy after a hard days of work!

Kikuyu’s aesthetics are gorgeous but it has become very stressful living here. just this week alone, we’ve had two power outages as well as 2 days where there was no water — this is on top of other frequent electricity & water issues over the past year. this is the first apartment complex where it’s a necessity to store bulk water in case of another water issue. management has not addressed this issue and frankly, does not seem to care at all. also, there is a constant manure smell and at times, the water from open taps has a slight sewage smell.there are solar panels yet electricity remains at high costs. the wifi provider options are extremely limited — the complex only offers 2 fibre options and both are the most expensive plans i’ve come across. it seems Balwin’s pockets are the ones benefiting from the overpriced electricity & wifi.

The security is very efficient, the facilities are great for people of all ages. The units are spacious and well equipped for a bachelor or couples. I enjoy the peace and quiet of this place but it does need speed humps.

Kikuyu, like any other Balwin development, has all the lifestyle amenities, comforts and conveniences (just Google them). The biggest downside for me is actually living inside one of their apartments and having to put up with upstairs neighbour's loud noises, dropping things, children's footsteps while running around all day, furniture movements, early morning shuffling of slippers while they're getting ready for work and bathroom activity noises. Work from home during Covid19 was near impossible because of this. Clearly apartment living isn't for me BUT, it would be, had Balwin designed their flooring in such a way so as to limit/prevent all these noises from taking place. Cheap building (but I must admit, with good finishes), mass production, maximum profits! My peace and quiet is more important.

Lovely, well maintained complex with friendly security. Security is good in terms of allowing nonresidents into the complex, however there are break ins on the ground units as they are easily accessible. The complex offers a clubhouse, swimming pool, school, carwash, restaurants, playground, braai facilities and more.

Sold a dream, but stay far away! Water and electricity is a continuous problem here. I have been here for almost 4 years and I am now getting out of here as fast as possible. This place is no longer family friendly, restaurant as well as table tennis area, actually any family area stinks of p*t! Management does absolutely nothing about it!

Amazing complex lifestyle. Every amenity available and management is very approachable. Well kept place, security is great too. Lovely Amici restaurant on site, plenty for kids to do, gym too

Constant power outages (in addition to load shedding) and loss of water supply.... Been happening every week now for months, and often lasts for days at a time. Can't imagine staying here in the long-term considering how many issues the place is already facing currently.
