I can highly recommend this store as the staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They are more catered towards your bigger/commercial grows. I really like that they have such a wide range of high-quality products for all your growing needs. Definitely give these guys a try. I will definitely be back soon.

Horrible experience dealing with Phil de Vries and Take-a-Lot. I ordered two bags of orgasoilux on Take-a-lot supplied by Hydrobiz in order to qualify for free delivery. Now the soil is already more expensive on take-a-lot but it works out cheaper as if you order more than one delivery is free. I ordered two only to be told Hydrobiz was out of stock. So they could only deliver one I called Hydrobiz where I was introduced to Phil de Vries the apparent manager… at first he was kind and assured me not to worry he would send the soil directly to my adress gave me his email and asked I send my details directly to him. I did that and in less than 5 minutes his turn changed. He said I should go to magic dragon… I asked why should I go to magic dragon when I have already paid for goods on takeaalot he then proceeded to say he was sending stock. I asked that he communicate with Take A Lot and ensure I receive my two orders as one package the date of delivery on take a lot changed and was delayed by an extra week. So now I waited for ten days only to receive half my order. I can now confirm that both Hydrobiz and Take a lot were both incompetent in this regard. Do not ever buy from them as they seem to have favourites when it comes to who they deliver to. I have not received a refund nor a letter of credit nor anything to rectify the situation. Phil has taken a stance of “it’s not his fault” however Hydrobiz is named as the supplier on take a lot. Terrible experience it’s a shame dirty hands doesn’t have a grip on their distribution network because all this does it put a terrible taste in the back of my mouth safe to say I will never order from Hydrobiz again.

Best store in Cape Town probably in all of South Africa. Friendly service and competent advice. Worth a visit!

Quite well stocked, I like that they provide a local processed product of their own showing that they know their products and are willing to compete with brands based on value.
