My worst nightmare that come true. I’ve been to many hairdresser and only use professional services. I walked in and asked if I could have a quick blow dry. The women said sure.The hairstylist greeted me washed, and started to complete my blow dry. I then asked if she could please just layer the front of my hair. I’ve been growing my Hair for 7 yrs. it’s very long, thick and curly, I have no fridge in the front. This specific day it was straight from a previous blowdry. This lady literally Grab the sides of my hair leaving the back as requested, instead of laying it did one blunt cut straight through my hair. I literally had two sides of my hair just under my chin. How could this even happen!!!I was mortified, I could not understand how a person/professional hairdresser would cut a clients hair this way. Almost maliciously.The owner came out and to be completely honest there was no remorse the fact this person had just chopped off 50% of my hair, and all they could say was “well we cannot do anything about this now as it’s been cut”,They then called the senior hairstylist out who also said there was nothing he could do. He even looked at the lengths and he too could not understand what she had done.They offered Hair extensions but I was leaving to head back to the EC. I cannot explain how my heart broke, it had taken 7yrs to get to this length.I have never ever had any hairdresser stand their and do two complete blunt cuts. I had to go to a friends hair salon who luckily managed to hide and fix what was an absolute disaster!I’ve lost half my hair and have had to thin it out dramatically. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. If your a professional hair salon how can you employ ppl who cannot even cut hair!!It will take a year to grow out this terrible hair cut.....I’ve never ever been more unsatisfied and disgusted in any service from a professional place. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone and highly recommend the person who cut my hair is either removed or given training.I would never want anyone to ever experience what happened to me!

Had my hair and makeup done for a dance. PERFECT styling -honestly I had no idea what I wanted done but they really delivered!Love the tea/coffee/ biscuits service- it feels so homey. Worth every penny.

Great experience. The ladies are lovely and I got exactly what I asked for. The service is 5 star, however, they lost one star as the salon itself can do with a spruce up, especially the bathroom and the back wash area. A good clean and some paint will go a long way. Then this place will be a food mine.

Beautiful set up. Love the couches in the waiting area. Friendly staff. Comfortable sests at the wash basins and love the scalp massages.

Definitely my hair salon of choice. I have been coming to this salon since 2008. Stylist are professional and well trained be it cutting or colour and they use good hair products. Jill and her team are fantastic and trustworthy.If you are new in Cape Town or just visiting this is the salon to go to. Ask for Claudia, Calvyn or Nikki. Claudia did my color and BTox treatment mid December

Was able to get an appointment on short notice on a bad-hair Monday morning. Had a lovely relaxing time at the basin with a wash-lady who clearly understands that the BASIN is what makes or breaks many, if not most, a client's visit to the hair salon. The hairdresser listened well to what I wanted to have done, she paid great attention to what she was doing, and worked gently and quietly while I could close my eyes and enjoy blow-dry and hot iron.

I had someone cutting my hair for the last 34 years and just couldn’t get a place that could match what I had.I will highly recommend Platinum Hair and Beauty. They are professional and I am very happy with the way Claudia cut my hair.
