Its a great place for a stop over or possibly two nights if you plan to do some touring around the vicinity, the people are friendly and the facilities are fine for backpackers and campers a like, the campsite is clean and large enough to set-up for a group of people or caravans, nothing will beat the amazing scenery, fresh air and clean blue skies you are bound to see.

Kokerboom Motel is nothing fancy though it is full of character. The rooms are arranged around a central courtyard and there is a camping spot behind them. The motel rooms are comfortable though you may have some trouble moving single beds together if they're fully booked and you're a couple. Dalene, the manageress, is very friendly and she and her staff went out of their way to prepare a vegan meal for us.

Really clean and neat. Nice atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing vistas, panoramic. Quiet and the most stars at night you will probably see ever. Will surely use again. Highly recommended

We camped here for a month during September to October 2019 to explore the vicinity and more so the gravel roads.Staff was from the beginning very friendly and helpful.Campsites are clean, relatively level and mostly covered with stone granules. Ground is hard and to get tent pegs in and out was quite an effort. A long 6mm concrete drill and four pound hammer will make the job easier. Very little shade as most trees are small on sites.Electric points are easily accessible but only two water points next to ablution blocks. Water pressure is weak.Ablution facilities are nothing fancy but are kept neat and tidy and definitely serve the purpose. There is a laundry room with one washing machine and one tumble dryer which operate with five two rand coins and one one rand coin per wash.Every second stand do have a braai stand with grid.Security is fine but the proximity to the N7 is cause for concern as the fence is not of proper security standards. However we camped without any negative incident.View is excellent but we experienced strong winds from all directions with the exception of a few days. A wind screen is necessary but shifting it regularly to match the wind direction is not easy with the hard surface.Cell phone reception is excellent.Good value for money especially if one are in for a short stop over.

The beds are made up with fresh sheets, there are fresh towels in the bathroom, the bath is deep and the water is HOT. Great place to be after 3 weeks camping!

I phoned on Saturday morning, round about 11:00am. I booked for 7 people for the Monday night. It would have been 3 double rooms, of which, the receptionist suggested she would have a third bed put into one of the rooms, to accommodate all 7 people. She quoted me a total price. I repeated the price to her, and she confirmed it. The next day (Sunday) the receptionist left a voice message on my phone. I called her back, and she said that she just wanted to let me know that the decoders were all down, and that the guests would not have any tv channels to watch. I told her that it was fine, the guests were fine with that. Monday night the guests arrive at the motel, only to be charged a more expensive price, than what I had been quoted. The lady on duty phoned the receptionist who made the booking, but she denied quoting me that price. I find this unacceptable, and it puts me in a bad light with my guests. I will not be recommending this motel again.
