After visiting many vets, who show alot of disinterest in pets and just try to rush the visit and get paid, it is comforting to know that some veterinarians actually care about pets and take their time with you, answering your questions and offering good advise rather that trying to make money off you. My visit had been pleasant and I feel like my fur babies are in good hands with the service i have gotten. If you treat your pets like your kids and want the best then I recommend making them your destination. Also on the plus side they stock food and treats and are just 2 mins away from the beach so you can take your babies for a stroll afterwards.

Dr Shepherd is very thorough. The entire team and friendly and efficient.Confidence is what it's all about and I trust Dr Shepherd that he will do everything he can to save your animal.Helen O'GradyUmhlanga

Not the most inviting atmosphere. Unfriendly and unmotivated staff. Would rather find another vet to take my fur baby to. Impersonal and cold customer experience.

They were amazing. We had to put our ailing pet to sleep and it was done in a dignified and caring way. Thank you Dr Shepard.

Took our little dog here for the first time. The staff are friendly and appear to care deeply for the animals that come through their doors. Our dog had an adverse reaction to the vaccine she got (this happens and shouldn’t reflect negatively on the vet service) and we called in and received some good advice over the phone. We’ll keep taking our dog to them.

Such amazing staff! Very friendly, helpful and insightful.

Dr Sheperd is an awesome veterinarian. He's thorough with his check ups and he always gives you good advice. He provided all the information to us and advised us on the what decisions were the best. Even if we went a different route to his suggestions, he would still happily help us. Throughout the 15 years that we took our dogs there they always helped.

My experience at umhlanga vet was excellent. Both the Dr and the staff seem to know a a lot about animals problems and the diagnosis is fairly accurate. They also have a lot of compassion for sick animals.
